I think if the riders and teams want to see the sport grow as big as a nascar or something equivalent then it is vital that the riders race both supercross as well as the outdoor series. I hope Larry gives James the OK. Hope Reedy shows up as well. Looking forward to a great series.

James Stewart should ride the outdoors series there is no reason why a certain man should not be wanted to ride, I understand if they can not afford it but for all you fans that do not think James should ride ask your selves how would you feel just because he trains the hardest is the most gifted and talented man on a motorcycle means he should not race?

I say if they don't let james race he should walk into the dealership and buy a YZ450 and show up to the races on a 450 with some motor and suspension work and woop everyone!

I think the problem with the outdoor series is the prize purse is 10x less than the SX series but the risk of sustaining a career ending injury is 10x greater so to some teams it's just not logical mathematically to risk missing out on next years $1,000,000 purse because theie guy got hurt chasing after a $100,000 purse over the summer.

Exactly. If JS wants to line up on May 23rd, I'm quite sure he has the pull to make it happen. If not, maybe JSE could fund the efforts (some of the prize money and bonuses MAY offset that cost). I think it's a cop out to solicit the fans and put the entire onus on Larry Brooks. Privateers all over the U.S. drive from race to race on their last dime, to line up, because they love it.

I hope Stewart doesn't race. He maybe fast but he lacks class. He now has no problem talking to the press but only weeks ago he couldn't be seen because of the actions of his team mate. All off a sudden he honestly (haha) wants to ride the outdoors. "Me riding isn't my choice…" bs, you signed up for Supercross only… Didn't he state he was Supercross only going in to Anaheim 1? Yup. Stick to you guns and go home! That said, if he does ride, I hope he wrecks his brains out trying to keep up with RV2!

Dear Yamaha mgmt, James' fiance, and God,
Please let James race the '09 outdoor motocross series. It would be awesome to watch him defend his title against #2 & #??…are u kid'n me…there isn't anyone one else who can run two motos x 12 with James in the outdoor series, however, I would pay good money to see him smoke #22 this summer & I would pay even more $$$ (in terms of buying the new 2010 yz-450f to replace my 2008 model) to have James ride and train with #338 to help him become a consistant podium contender as well!!

So far the competition is pretty good. While James is fast outdoors, he is still James. That means that he doesnt have the sense to know when he needs to go fast and when he needs to collect points. That is what gets him hurt so much. I'll bet that LB thinks that this is the bes way to keep james healthy for the series that means the greatest value to the team. His thinking makes perfect sense if you take the nature of James into account.
