Yesterday afternoon, Yamaha Motor Coporation officially honored their newest Supercross Champion, San Manuel/L&M rider, James Stewart.  The event took place at Yamaha’s headquarters in Cypress, CA and all of the Yamaha employees were invited outside to take part in the celebration.  Speakers included Yamaha team manager Keith McCarty, L&M owner/manager Larry Brooks, and a nostalgic speech by Doug Henry before James Stewart took to the podium.

The whole San Manuel/L&M/Yamaha team showed up to support their new champ, and they did it in style, arriving in an enormous stretched limo.

Awesome to see Dougy Henry on his own 2 feet, and that asian dood was super pumped… Horry morry!

  • yamgrl12 Says:

It was an amazing moment to witness Doug Henry walk up a hill to the podium and give a speech!

Seeing both James and Doug up on the podium got me thinking about how long they have both been around and I realized that they both appeared in the very first Terrafirma Fox video back in 1994, Doug on a factory Honda and Stewart on a Yamaha PW50. That was fifteen years ago! :O

That must have been a special moment for James. Congratulations.

so is bubba gonna race outdoors or what, i didnt c him at glen helen practicing yesterday, or is he too glamorous for the outdoors now

  • bayodome Says:

I guess we will find out in a week.

  • dgizzy Says:

yeah thats nice to see Henry walking again. Reeds gotta be weeping knowing that he rode Yamaha's and now they dissed him for Bubba.

  • kevin Says:

You might not like Bubba but u gotta respect the guy. I kept thinking if I was Bubba I woulda punched Chad or took him out but now I know why he keeps his cool. Theres too much at stake, Red bull Yamaha and allsponsors plus he's gotta be a role model.

  • heyo Says:

I still like Chisolm. He's still a nice guy

  • brrrrrp Says:

Damn !!! they didnt do that for Chad last year. Id be pissed if I was Chad. I heard Nike was gonna sponsor Reed and then Bubba took that spot away. So reed has a good reason not to like JS. JS is costing him$

  • sammx Says:

hey Kevin if you got paid as much as Bubba you would keep your cool.

  • Slot001 Says:

James is the best, he deserves all the lavish treatment we could ever dish out lol

  • Ed Angel Says:

It is sad to read all your bad comment's about JS, only because of his color but all you need to realize that James is a american rider and he is the fastest and the best rider overall, Reed and the other hand is dirty and a big cry baby, I was'not born in the USA but I love this country probably more than a lot's of american's and I'm happy to see a American rider using the #1 plate….Go Bubba.

  • MX Racer 24 Says:

Come on man. San Manuel has never won a series. Last year Reed gave it all he had but couldn't pull it off. Then Stewart comes along this year and takes it. That is a reason to celebrate.

  • crrider94 Says:

everyone needs to shut up. i mean.. they have to start somewhere, right? you can't say, "they didn't do that last year," well maybe they didnt think of it. NOW! if they don't do this agian next year for whoever wins then that will be different.. but at the same time.. maybe it didnt work out this year and they decide not to do it again. it s just a coincidence that james got the long end of the stick

  • MXfan Says:

They probaly wanted to do this last year but Chad was on his way back to Australia….remember he ditch America and went home….

  • Kawirider Says:

its amazing im the reason everyone's fired up this evenin' yoo yooo yoooooooooooooooooooooo
