The first motocross race to air LIVE on the NBC network exhibited how great our sport really is this weekend at High Point. The weather held strong, though early reports threatened rain, and the facility was no doubt as prepped as its ever been. A rough track with some technical spots helped provide some exciting racing for both those in attendance and those watching the live coverage on NBC.

Nothing is left to chance on a factory bike. If you look closely in this photo, you can see that the radiator cap is safety wired closed to keep it from moving at all.

I just let out a blood curdling BRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAP for Brian Shuckhart. Now if we could only get the AMA to switch up the rules and allow 300cc+ smokers in the big bike class, we'd have some decent racing to watch this summer.
