It is hard to believe, but this weekend at Red Bud will already mark the halfway point of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Nationals. For the most part, fans usually only get to see the pros during the motos and practice (if they arrive early enough) at each round. But for every lap they spin on race day, there are countless other laps put in at practice tracks around the country in an effort to gain those precious little increments of time that could be the difference between a top five finish, and top-40 anonymity. For those who live in the Southern California, we are lucky enough to get a few more glimpses of the best racers in the world on a slightly more regular basis. Wednesdays at Milestone Ranch during outdoor season are a great place to watch the pros hard at work, as they connect two of the tracks for some extra long lap times. To help combat your mid-week motocross lull, here are some shots from practice earlier today.

I saw Justin Baggett in Mammoth this past weekend and the kid is extremely fast. I've been watching him for some time now… He won the pro 250 class.
