Happy Friday! We are just hours away from the 2010 Motocross of Nations in Lakewood, Colorado, and the anticipation is boiling over in the Mile High City of Denver. We stopped by the Thunder Valley track earlier today to check everything out and listen in on the Team USA press conference. Just before Roger DeCoster, Andrew Short, Ryan Dungey, and Trey Canard took their seat at the media podium, the powers that be welcomed everyone to the 2010 festivities. Youthstream president Giuseppe Luongo, flanked by Thunder Valley’s Dave Clabaugh, AMA’s Ron Dingman, and FIM’s Wolfgang Srb, expressed his excitement for the MXoN, and that after being in Colorado for the last ten days, he was certain that the 2013 MXoN needed to make its return to the U.S.A.
After the Luongo and associates said their peace, defending champs Team USA took the stage to answer questions. Trey Canard was most visibly excited saying, “I wouldn’t care if it were in Tijuana, Mexico, i would be just as excited.” Short and Dungey reaffirmed his excitement stating that Trey had not removed his Team USA gear and red shoes in over a week.
