2014 Motocross Buyer’s Guide: Boots

Even if you are the most casual rider, investing in a quality pair of motocross-specific boots is necessary. The testing staff of TransWorld Motocross have ridden in every boot made over the last few years, and believe us when we say that there is a noticeable difference in protection and comfort when comparing entry-and premium-level boots.
There are many features to look at when selecting a motocross boot, but protection should always be at the top of the list. We are fans of a hinged ankle design, since it allows your foot to move freely while protecting from twisting and rolling-type injuries, but that is not to say that a non-hinged design is any less protective. Comfort and adjustability come next, because a pair of awkward boots can make for an unbearable day at the track. For our 2014 Buyer’s Guide, we have opted to highlight eight particular boots, as each has been tested and proven by the TWMX testing staff.
