We are just minutes away from the three main motos of the 2014 Motocross of Nations at Zelta Zirgs in Kegums, Latvia. The morning program included three warm-up sessions and the B-Final, where one final team was added to the lineup for this afternoon’s action. News from the morning centered on MX2 riders Jeremy Martin and Antonio Cairoli. Martin is in clear discomfort after yesterday’s vicious crash and the early medical report says the American has fractured toes on his right foot, but completed the full practice session and is determined to line up for both motos later on.
Cairoli meanwhile missed his one chance at practice this morning, and the word in the pit area is that the Italian was stopped by police on his way to the track for speeding and was taken to a nearby ATM to pay on the spot. While this happening the MX2 rider is unconfirmed, we know a number of people in the paddock have dealt with similar issues this weekend.
Want to watch the races as they occur live this weekend? MXGP TV is offering a pay-per-view package that will show all of the action on Saturday and Sunday, and CBS Sports will broadcast full, albeit tape delayed coverage later on Sunday morning in the United States.
