Honda made plenty of changes to the 2015 CRF450R and it seems – after our first day on the bike – that they were all directed towards towards the flaws we found in the 2014 model. Let’s be honest here…last year’s bike left plenty to be desired in the power department, but the new cylinder, exhaust pipe, and three-way adjustable ignition mapping make the newest big red bike an absolute monster in comparison. But the engine is not all that received well-placed updates: both ends of the Kayaba suspension were significantly upgraded. All told, the new bike is pretty darn fantastic, and we can’t wait to get our hands on a long-term loaner so that we can really put it through its paces! For now, click play on the video below and hear all that’s new from Honda’s Jeff Tigert, and how it worked from our very own Brendan Lutes.
