Combines with the Detroit Cycle World International Motorcycle Show Presented by Toyota Trucks, to create a bike and car Super-Show for Motor City
Santa Ana, CA (6/14/05) ¿ Advanstar Communications, Inc. ¿ a leading publisher of print, event and online media for the powersports, off-road and automotive aftermarket industries ¿ has announced the acquisition of the Michigan Motorcycle Show and Motorama events from, owners and operators of the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
Advanstar will combine the Detroit leg of its Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows® presented by Toyota Trucks with the Michigan Motorcycle Show and Motorama in January 2006. The newly-named Michigan Cycle World International Motorcycle Show ® Presented by Toyota Trucks will provide a super-show for powersports and custom car enthusiasts of all ages, and will feature the country¿s largest display of new motorcycles, ATVs, scooters and personal watercraft together with classic, vintage, custom bikes and cars ¿ in one weekend ¿ under one roof.
All three events will now make their home in the brand new, state of the art Rock Financial Showplace, which opens its doors in August 2005 as Southeastern Michigan’s premier event facility, boasting over 298,000 square feet of exposition space.
The Michigan Cycle World International Motorcycle Show® Presented by Toyota Trucks, to be held January 6-8, 2006, will feature all of the successful elements of this premier series ¿ including hundreds of 2006 models from all major motorcycle manufacturers and an expanded Factory Showcase where consumers can explore top brand name accessories and gear in the company of expert personnel. Additionally, show attendees will be treated to custom motorcycle displays, retailers and exciting show features from the Michigan Motorcycle Show, as well as special vintage and racing auto displays as part of the Motorama event.

The Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows® Presented by Toyota Trucks, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, kicks off their 2006 series November 4th, 2005 in Fort Worth, Texas, in conjunction with the inaugural round of Advanstar¿s Arenacross Championship Series with continuing stops in Houston, Denver, Seattle, Southern California, Northern California, Washington DC, New York, Ohio, Minneapolis, Chicago and Atlanta.
