Hey everyone! I am still out waiting for my broken ankle to heal, and I’m very bored. We all know how it is when we can’t ride! I needed to find some fun things to do to keep my mind off of not being able to go to my regionals. So I went to Oklahoma (yes, the famous Elk City) to visit my boyfriend Trey Canard for a week, and it was definitely a good time.
Trey and his family took me to a bull riding show, and I loved it! It was way interesting, but real crazy though…haha. I told Trey he should ride bulls instead of doing motocross, but he said, “no way you’re crazy, I am a pansy, and I can’t do this! One of the days we were there, Trey, his mom Kari, his older brother Aaron, his younger brother Jaxon, and I went to an awesome museum in Oklahoma City. It was really amazing and we all had so much fun there. I didn’t realize there was so much to do in Oklahoma. Haha…just kidding! I also met Trey’s very cool grandparents. I just wanted to say thank you very much to the Canard family for letting me come, I really had a fantastic time and they all helped to cheer me up!
When I got back home, I was bored again so I contacted Chad Stacy, one of my good friends that I grew up racing with when I was about eight or nine. I went over to his house and we went to the mall to watch a movie with Chad and our friend Tyler. It has actually been helping me to walk all over on my crutches; my arms are getting pumped up! Haha! It was nice to hang out with my old friends because I never really have time to hang out with them since I am always traveling or training.
Well, enough about being bummed about not being able to race Loretta Lynn’s; it happens to all of us racers. Although I haven’t been able to ride, I have been cheering on all of my friends that are going to their regionals! I am sooooo thrilled for Donn Maeda; my best buddy made it to Loretta Lynn’s for his first time. Way to go, Donn! I definitely have to go to cheer him on, he was there for his first time last year to cheer me on, and now I will do the same for him!
Trey made it too; this will be his last Loretta’s race and then he is moving on to the big time! One of my friend’s, Alexah Pearson got hurt at her regional practice and even went to the hospital. She thought she was going to be out and she was not supposed to race, but she went out there anyway, stayed strong and made it. I’m really happy for her that she didn’t give up. One of my other friend’s Brittany will be doing her regional this weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing her make it into Loretta Lynn’s too. For sure I will be there to watch them all, I will be cheering the loudest for Donn. He is going to get them!
This weekend my family and I are going to Universal Studios. We never just have a normal non-motocross vacation so this is a good time to do it; my little brother is so pumped! Another one of my friends, Jessica Hadler, is flying here to go with us. She just had surgery on her knee and is out for a while too, so we thought we would do something fun together while we are out.
I can’t wait to get back on my motorcycle and work really hard. I am pretty excited about that. I’m out for two more weeks, but all I can think about is riding again!
See you all soon…#67
