Jason Lawrence penalized for actions at San Francisco round of the 2009 AMA Supercross Lites West Championship Series
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Racing officials determined today that actions taken by AMA Supercross Lites West Championship Series rider Jason Lawrence at the San Francisco round of the series violated the terms of his existing probationary status, which began on June 12, 2008. Lawrence has therefore been suspended for the next two rounds of the 2009 AMA Supercross Lites West Championship Series.
Specifically, Lawrence was found to have violated Appendix A, section A2.3j, of the AMA Supercross, and FIM World Championship, Rulebook, which states that the following offense is subject to disciplinary action:
“An attack on a Racing official and/or engaging in a fight. This includes any person who attacks or is involved in a fight anywhere on the premises prior to, during, or after an AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship meet. There will be no maximum fine or suspension period for this offense.”
It was determined that Lawrence was involved in an incident off the track involving certain Supercross class riders. As a result of that violation, Lawrence has been suspended for the next two rounds of the 2009 AMA Supercross Lites West Championship Series, including the Feb. 7 round in Anaheim, Calif., and the Feb. 14 round in San Diego, Calif.
AMA officials notified Lawrence of the penalty on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Lawrence appealed and presented evidence in his favor at a meeting with AMA Racing officials on Friday, Feb. 6. Following careful consideration of that evidence, Lawrence’s appeal was denied.
Since 1924, the AMA has promoted and protected the motorcycling lifestyle. AMA members come from all walks of life and they navigate many different routes on their journey to the same destination: freedom on two wheels. As the world’s largest motorcycle organization with nearly 300,000 members, the AMA advocates for motorcyclists’ interests in the halls of local, state and federal government, the committees of international governing organizations and the court of public opinion. Through member clubs, promoters and partners, the AMA sanctions more motorsports competition events than any other organization in the world. Through its Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, the AMA preserves the heritage of motorcycling for future generations. For more information, visit www.AmericanMotorcyclist.com.

February 6th, 2009 at 4:05 pm

February 6th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
Dang I wanted to see him race this weekend. He was my favorite lites rider but now I don’t think he is going anywhere with his career..
February 6th, 2009 at 4:08 pm
What a huge P.O.S. and waste of space..if someone was talking cr*p to him that’s one thing, but I’m betting it wasn’t that..that pot head might as well give it up
February 6th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
HE SHOULD BE GLAD IM NOT HIS SPONSOR BECAUSE I WOULD DROP HIM
February 6th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Time to throw in the towel JLaw…
Kids never going to learn.
February 6th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
who did he fight with?
February 6th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
J Law might as well hit the bong, just like Phelps
February 6th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
all you guys are dumb.. there not going to just forget about him. he is a fast rider. you guys all doubt him. saying that he doesnt train. he trains just as hard as any other rider.. once he straightens up his act hell be the one to beat
February 6th, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Karma is a Be-snatch huh you IDIOT! What a dumbA$$! Sadly, some company and sponsors will keep him because they will want some supposed bad boy image. I lived in NJ for 12 yrs and he gives people from the Garden STate a bad name!
February 6th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
This dude is such a joke. He makes us all look bad like were a bunch of punks. Some of us take it very serious and work in EVERY aspect of the sport including not getting into fights and looking professional. Hope the AMA suspends him the whole season if he dose anything else stupid. Sorry to see a fast rider turn out to be like this.
February 6th, 2009 at 4:32 pm
Hey, this mean he is suspended only from the lites? He can race in the supercross class?
February 6th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
909 935 7532
February 6th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Hey this mean he is suspended only from lites? he can race in 450?
February 6th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
“once he straightens up his act hell be the one to beat”
the question is, is how long does it take for the retard to learn? He is fast and talented at riding, i will give him that much.
But he should pull his head out and ride like he is supposed to or he should be banned forever. He needs to get knocked the #$%* out.
February 6th, 2009 at 4:48 pm
Mabey he should race in arena cross and leave the SX and MX to the others…!
February 6th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
start preparing the outdoors j-law…
February 6th, 2009 at 4:58 pm
I love J-law, how he adds color to the sport, and his speed and style, but man, is he messing up. Now im missing one of my favorite riders at the San Diego SX. J-Law, i still love you man, but come on! i wanna see you at the track!
February 6th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
this dude is sooooo gnarly. hahahaha if he can just get off probation then he’ll be all good. and if he can get a good start without getting taken out he will win. he has some raw ass talent. just needs to clean up and he will get another #1 plate, watch
February 6th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
^^yell well ur a goon
February 6th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
LMAO, its funny to see all these people talk all this shit on here, and not even know what the hell happened. Anything to give you people an edge to talk mad shit. I love it. The one thing i love the most though is how people try to speculate his life… thats what gets me the most.
February 6th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
haha he does every day, kid rides like a champ when he’s high
February 6th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
wow i thought motocross was supposed to be a mans sport. not like basketball where you get a foul for slapping some ones hand. good job ama before we know it motocross gear will be pink tutu’s. lay off the estrogen pills
February 6th, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Who cares about the bullshit, lets just race, too many rules that have nothing to do with racing
February 6th, 2009 at 6:16 pm
Moto doesn’t have room for you kid. We have come to far to have childish brats like you stain our sport. Do us all a favor and let it go. Find another group to bother punk!
February 6th, 2009 at 6:20 pm
I heard the person J-Law hit was Chris Blouse #63 inside of the Troy Lee Designs motorhome. Not really sure why him, but I heard Troy Lee woke up and broke up what was going on.
February 6th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
i think his sponsers are just as big of idiots for if they dont can his ass.
-click my name
February 6th, 2009 at 6:24 pm
agreed, his sponsers are dumb if they dont can him
February 6th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
i say it every time, but the way he is eating his words from A1 is epic. it sucks how he gets himself into trouble like this though. he’s a good rider. just needs to keep from getting penalized.
February 6th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
j-law is the dude. at least he has ballz & carizma they are just out to get him (dungey lovers)they want cloned sheep in this sport this is not the way. conform never ! look at the shit bob hanna used to do and a few others back in the day.get over it we all cant be sheep or dungey’s
February 6th, 2009 at 6:28 pm
he got suspended. that’s all people need to know. he needs to stop getting himself in to trouble. if reed or anyone else were going around geting into the shit j-law does, the ama would be penalizing them too.
February 6th, 2009 at 6:32 pm
well if racing moto doesn’t pan out, he could go give mixed martial arts a try!! Do they have a feather weight class?
February 6th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
this news is old news
February 6th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
All of lawrence’s sponsors can shove it where the sun don’t shine. Will never buy anything from you again………..is it funny yet you hippie coward? “Too much good stuff”. Someone is going to fill his head in soon. Lucky for lawrence Chris Blose couldn’t find him or that would have been two hospital visits in one weekend.
February 6th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
because he wasn’t in the hospital… it was all a bunch of bullshit that was put out there to cover it up so that the media, who seems to love wonderboy, wouldn’t make him look like a complete ass…
February 6th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
what planet are you on dude? You need to find out the real story before you decide to dream up some half cocked crap!
February 6th, 2009 at 7:38 pm
you need to report the hole story. Who did fight with and what happen. If Jlaw ever stays out of troulbe and just let his riding speak for him.
February 6th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
Wasted talent.
He deserves it, he has a huge responsability with his team, and he by no means can go around acting like that, he needs to grow up, for his own good.
February 6th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
He needs to party on like Spicoli
February 6th, 2009 at 7:57 pm
You guys need to get a grip, whats with this pro image that every expects these guys to have??? you would have never have seen a reaction like this 10 years ago. j-law is the only rider out there who adds spark to the sport and i only really enjoy watching the lites class when he is riding cus it makes the race so unpredictable. you guys need to chill and layoff, the guys the rockstar of motocross
February 6th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Like any of else fell for the “hospital” story to begin with. This flash-in-the-pan is old news. I’m sure his sponsor’s team manager - you know, the latest guy to give him the ‘last chance’ speech - is kicking himself right now.
Sorry, Swap. You must be heartbroken.
February 6th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
Thats too bad for Jason, I hope he can get it together and give the fans some of the good racing that he is capable of doing!
February 6th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!! whatanass
February 6th, 2009 at 9:03 pm
all you fu*ks think you know what this sport is about, you think that someone that sux up to everyone is better than someone who just likes race and hang it out and not worry about all you dumb bi*ches that chirp him and he would toon all u squids hitten the bong or NOT . so find something better to do then just come on here and chirp people that have already had more success than n e of u ever will .
February 6th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
you attach your personality to your home state/town!?! haha your an idiot, still havent realized that we are all INDIVIDUALS.
February 6th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
do you get paid to race?? i would guess no! again is here is another loser that believes all racers represent him. you all need some more schooling if you believe this. actually if you believe this just give up on life. it sounds like the majority of people that enjoy mx are idiots like the guy that wrote this!
February 6th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
he will be just fine! you should worry about guys like millsaps! JLAW has a real future in this sport so get used to him. he is to fast to not get a deal. WAKE Up this isnt a miss america pagent!! its racing you moron! THIS means the fastest riders always get the factory contracts.
February 6th, 2009 at 9:58 pm
dude if anyone is a P.O.S it’s u man i dont see your candy ass out there racein with the #1 plate so maybe u should shut your fat ass up how bout that you waste of space
February 6th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
Dude he is his own sponsors.
February 6th, 2009 at 10:24 pm
whatever, there are plenty of fast guys out there with “raw ass talent” but they’re not idiots. How hard is it to stay out of trouble. You just dumped all that money in a new team, how about growing up and showing some appreciation for your sponsors, bud. Any rational human being on probation from the AMA would see a fight and think, hmmm.. i better not get involved in this, it might keep me from RACING. what a joke…
February 6th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
chirp?, your a clown show
February 6th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Dude, he is only one of his sponsors. Soon to be his only.
February 6th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Lol people cant handle someone who is a little outside of the status quo. Im a big fan personally.
A reason sponsors might not drop him is because of all the publicity he gets. Every photo of him has him wearing, or riding something with the sponsors name plastered all over it.
February 6th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
tru that! Rk ,what age are you 12? Do you see this little poser as a role model? Look deeper than this crap.Maybe this kind of imature s**t sounds “cool” in the school yard at break but try this in the real world and you’ll find you will have some real problems dude.
Sucking up and chirping? please! LMAO…..Just voicing an opinion about a sport that requires comittment and straight head man.
February 6th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Yeah, until he bangs your girlfriend and rolls yor car……LOL
February 6th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
Anonypuss wrote:

You would do better to place a bet in Vegas, than on No-Law.
February 6th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
Are you JLaw? Trying to defend your name? It does not matter how fast he is. He is a joke. Not even Tyler Evans has had this amount of trouble in such a short amount of time. The AMA needs to punt this tard.
February 6th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
You mean Chump right? Thats why he can’t hit the main with the big boys ….yeah? Oh well
February 6th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
jlaw is awsome..he doesnt care..he probly has hit the bong with phelps haha
February 6th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
are you a life coach or what?no one cares what you say..i dont think jlaw cares if you give more than “much”
February 6th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
J-Law for President!
Legalize.
February 6th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
ahaaaaaaaa….J-law in yo momas pannies, and yo daddy’s and yo sister’s
February 6th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
sounds like you “probly” been hitting the hippie lettuce too…..aha!! wow man
February 6th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
Someone who has the dice like Ricky Carmicheal would beat the living tar out of this little prick! I’d pay good money to watch it too………..Lawrence is the Male version of a skank….
February 7th, 2009 at 12:02 am
Ah man, com’on.Big Lawrinsky fan here. Its hard to walk away from b.s.But he knew he was on probation.Really wanted to see him take a win in the next two races. He’s just a young man.Its got to be tough when you are a bad boy young superstar.Tough guy attitude is just the way for some of us.It will get better with age.Start thinking outdoors!Jealous people were targeting him all season.I know he won’t take any crap but wait for the right day! Then lay down the law!AMA is starting to get on my nerves. If you need to hire a semi retired bar brawler call me.You got plenty of fans.Stay cool.
February 7th, 2009 at 12:13 am
drugs, sex, moto-x!!!!!!! j-laws the man
February 7th, 2009 at 12:17 am
cool, J-laws dad just signed on…
February 7th, 2009 at 12:24 am
I’m Tyler mother f’n Evans and In endorse this message! bWahhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaa….
February 7th, 2009 at 12:34 am
Sorry dude but yes I ride for a living don’t think everyone on here is a washed up rider. I just think there are a lot of racers who try extremely hard to stay on the right track through their career. Do you really believe he is acting professional? If you do the your the person who won’t go anywhere in this sport.
February 7th, 2009 at 12:39 am
Press release as follows…”I’m scared that Jason Lawrence might get his sponsors to buy a 450 so he can run around in eightenth place and get in everyone’s way and pretend he’s competitive”………followed by….. “He might possibly come by 45 mins after the main complaining of a running butt hole and take some sissy pot shots at me becacause I whipped his ass on the track”. Chad mentioned that himself and James Stewart would “Beat his skinny cracker ass” if this was to occur. I dunno, but sounds like J-law needs to re evaluate some Sh*t!
February 7th, 2009 at 12:45 am
Boniface put a move on Hansen on the track, and Hansen didn’t like it. Hansen and No-Law go to the TLD pit. Childish crap ensues.
Boniface, Hansen are fined $10 grand, payable only if they violate probation.(No-Law got similar spanking during the ‘08 Nat’s, and violated probation.) And No-Law gets a 2 race suspension. Duh.
Same old, same old.
David Letterman could do a great Top 10 list about No-Law!
The Top 10 excuses why Jason “No-Law” Lawrence can’t make the Main:
#10 - I’m from Jersey.
#9 - The devil made me do it!
#8 - My hair got in my eyes
#7 - Huh?
#6 - I was auditioning for a role on the Addams Family…Cousin It!!
#5 - Leave me alone, I’m sick!
#4 - I’d like to thank my lack of sponsors…
#3 - I spent too much time preparing my “Dungey sucks” speech IF I ever make the podium.
#2 - Phelps just passed the bong to me, so I hit it!
And, the #1 excuse why Jason “No-Law” Lawrence can’t make the Main:
#1 - Dude, where’s my rolled-over car?
February 7th, 2009 at 12:49 am
blah blah blah
February 7th, 2009 at 12:49 am
Hmmmmmmm…..word has it that this little piss ant wants to ride a 450…LOL. This weak little limp wristed trout mouth can’t even make the main on a 250, let alone handle a man’s bike. He hasn’t the mental or physical strength to step up to the elite class. He should stick to sucker punching Troy Lee in the pits, which he proved to everyone that he’s good at. Jason… go home and eat an apple through a tenis racket….you certainly have the jaw for it!
February 7th, 2009 at 12:57 am
j law is a p-$$y. hes not a bada$$ because he jumps in on a fight already going. boniface and hansen where slapping each other in the pits because some one took some ones line
February 7th, 2009 at 1:09 am
Press release as follows….”Men in the 450 class are nervous that some wannabee trout mouthed tool from the 250 boys club” is asking his sponsors to front up a bike so he can run around in eightenth place in the elite class. Based on recent performance, this doesn’t seem like a wise move. Local media hunted down Jason Lawrence hiding behind the Troy Lee semi last Saturday night for some kind of confirmation. Please be patient as the answers we got sounded like someone eating an apple through a tennis racket….. Q. Jason ,are the roumours true..
A. Yeshhhsshhhh…..
February 7th, 2009 at 1:10 am
i would lay that little punk out and then steal his wallet.
February 7th, 2009 at 1:31 am
Just when you think he can’t get his head any deeper in his a$$, he proves he can!
Stick a works fork in him, he’s done.
February 7th, 2009 at 4:15 am
Jason Lawrence is as dumb as a rock! I hope he enjoyed wasting money on that nice new semi because he’ll be living in it when he’s flippin burgers at mcdonalds.
February 7th, 2009 at 5:36 am
let’s see what happens after this ban!, i think he will come back desperate for some points and his TRUE colours will show, taking out riders and cutting the track!!!, then PUNCH ON with DAVID BAILEY…..
February 7th, 2009 at 7:50 am
Cole Siebler confirmed that it was Chris Blose and it was in or around the TLD trailer. Dont think he dreamed that up, that stuff was around shortly after the news broke about his flu.
February 7th, 2009 at 9:23 am
your stupid because you cant spell “sponsors” good luck with the 4th grade all over again
February 7th, 2009 at 9:25 am
phelps won 8 gold medals in 1 Olympic, yet people still look down on marijuana…if he was a drunk he would have gotten nowhere
February 7th, 2009 at 9:27 am
lol hes basically saying j-law is the NJ state Rep…..vot ej-law!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 7th, 2009 at 10:15 am
im thinking that boniface and hansen were also involved. on racerxonline it says that they were penalized for the same thing
February 7th, 2009 at 10:43 am
ama has made mx and its fallowers look like a bunch of flowers. no other sport would do this to its contenders. i guess this explains the regression of popularity. for example still only three live events!!! always re-aired at crap times!!! imagine if any other sport did this.. someone need to put money into the sport before taking money out.. this is called INVESTMENT. jlaw haters are idiots and should take a kindergarten psycology course to understand that what he does would actually attract fans that both love hime and hate him for the diversity he brings. a big problem with mx is all the riders a too diplomatic. nobody wants to hear how much you repect the racers next to you..
February 7th, 2009 at 10:45 am
thats why your an idiot!
February 7th, 2009 at 10:50 am
so who do you ride for.? ? ? oh you dont.. so how can you vouch for that?
February 7th, 2009 at 11:02 am
professionally? what ever that means? hes not very diplomatic!! i stand by previous statements that this is what the sport needs to grow!!! DIVERSITY.. !!! do you think the majority of skateboarders act professional.. to me it looks like they have created their own LIFESTYLE!! think about that for a while reply again if i must spell it out for you..
February 7th, 2009 at 11:05 am
“Lawrence was involved in an incident off the track involving certain Supercross class riders.”
WHat about the other riders? They’re not suspended for punching back?
February 7th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
anonymous you talk to much!!!!
February 7th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
this guy is a true idiot. he has the best job in the world and he is screwing it up. Soon he is going to have to get a real job and see how he likes working 40+ hours a week to survive. It must be nice to get paid to ride a dirtbike, this guy just don’t get it. And he has to know that everyone is watching him like a hawk so he needs to walk the line. And when he gets that new job he is going to have act like a human being, you can’t just punch someone everytime they mouth off. What an idiot!!
February 7th, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Jason Lawrence is an old school rider that has no fear and stands up for himself and his beliefs plus he is exciting to watch. Moto NEEDS him.
February 7th, 2009 at 12:34 pm
Your a P.O.S. What do you want a CHURCH league?
February 7th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
haha lol
February 7th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
heyyy everyone running their mouths. the figure skating association called they want their fans back
February 7th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
It’s to bad, I love to watch this guy ride. Oh well it is what it is.
February 7th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
little man complex. Its ok little guy, your fame is only in moto. Most of the world has no idea who u r. good luck on your career.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Cole Siebler’s a bad ass. Idaho Woot Woot.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
wow. somebody yank this clowns license!!! let’s let him ride AFTER he goes through puberty.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:59 pm
Shut up suckas!, J-Law is the man with balls ,and not selling out to be someone he’s not. I personally love watching J-Law race and give his opinion. I once thought it would be great to be a big money mx’er, but the more I see the ama try to make this sport the boy scouts, the more the the sport gets boring ,tv or no tv. I’ve even found myself bored and changing stations at times. the ama says they are trying to make mx like nascar but when it,starts to look like it they have a problem!. You guys only want the money not the true essence of the sport. I think I will race local and avoid the ama bull crap!. Oops!! rear end tap?.
February 7th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
I find it interesting how many people are talking of diversity within the spot we love while attacking others opinions. The name calling is quite amusing. While we all like to think we have some skills, if you have ever tried to “race” on a modern supercross track you would find that the skill level required is quite high. I feel JLaw is a fool, perhaps a jester would be a better description. Dancing around, running his mouth, and not riding near as fast as he talks. He does add color to the scene though, even if it is someone to hate. I hope he straightens up enough to come back so he can eat a little more humble pie. But that is just my opinion.
February 7th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
you’re a figure skating association member? COOL!!
February 7th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
They called you first, you limp wristed sh|t for brains! Hahaha!!!:)
February 7th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
haha i dont have a problem with JLaw.. but that was funny
February 7th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
im tired of all you swaure ass nerds putting jason down calling him a pothead, drunk, screw up, etc. yea the screw up part hes having a hard time with but so what, how would any of you weenies know if hes still even partying, i know he isnt sweating this too much cause he pretty much admittted his title defense is over unless something drastic happens. just wait for the outdoors you uptight punks, and please dont say he doesnt deserve a pro license because he can spank any of you haters on any given day or time on the track. so keep your traps shut
February 7th, 2009 at 7:12 pm
thats exactly it!! someone needs to beat the dumb out of him and let him know what time it is.
February 7th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
I suppose all the old school MX legends are idiots too. It’s dumb to believe that all riders should fit the Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Dungey mold. There has to be different personalities in the sport, including the bad asses like J Law. Dungey and Carmichael are awesome riders and people, but who are you to say that’s the only way to be? People have a choice to act how they want, and different people have been brought up to handle things differently. Believe it or not, many people believe in not getting pushed around. People know that if you give Jason any shit, he will throw it back. AND WHY DO YOU THINK THE MEDIA LIKES HIM? As a reporter myself, Dungey-esque interviews are pretty lame. He speaks his mind and always has something original to stay, even if it is talking smack. It garners interest in our sport.
February 7th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
Wonder how One Industries is feeling right about now. STUPID?
February 8th, 2009 at 12:48 am
I got your daddy.——-hanging right here! When the bad gather, they call me BOSS.I get out of this correctional facility in two more weeks! That was a good one.J Laws dad!Ride 2 stroke!
February 8th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
SPONSORS…that is how you spell it.
February 8th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
You are an idiot like him if you think provocation should be a rightful preclude to the use of violence.

Dude, you are a fool. That whole rant of yours is full of mistakes (i.e. psychology)…I hope english is your second language. Furthermore, this is the sport of motocross not UFC. Fighting in the pits does not attract those to the sport. Competition on the track does. So far, J-Felon has not proven to be a podium threat at all this year. He is not the fastest rider out there, especially for 15 laps. Last year’s championship was all luck, and he will even admit that. Years prior he was nothing of a threat, and this year he has never been a threat. Get over it J-Felon fans.

As far as I am concerned, J-Felon has conformed. He conformed with those that rock it out in their trailer parks. He is a loser, and those that find him to be so charismatic are people that are not going anywhere in life. They look up to him because he is their white trash hero. I am just wondering if all you J-Felon groupies are giving him some love in the motorhome after the night program.
February 8th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
That was awesome.
February 8th, 2009 at 4:53 pm
I ride for myself, kind of like your hero!
February 8th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
he is one of the fastest and most talented. he just doesnt get good starts and then ends up crashing into the other crappy slower guys because he is so much faster, its like a guy driving 60mph and a guy 10 guys around him going 25pmh.. there is going to be an accident, and the guy going 60mph will crash. jason is one of the top 3, and he will show it eventually… and this is true, the more drama, the more people want to watch you idiot… people arent going to think “oh notocross is on, i dont want to watch it because the jason lawrence kid keeps getting into fights” theyre going to think “i wonder what that jlwas as$hole did this time, let me watch to find out”
February 8th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
HAHA what a bunch of morons. there is nothing wrong with a little bar banging on the track, and a little smack talking as long as it is kept friendly. but to be an outright ass, and to pull stunts like this is inexcusable. a little flavor is nice, but there is seriously no need to be a f****** ass to everyone.
Jason Lawrence is not an old school rider, he wasnt even walking in the old school days. he isnt fearless and prideful, he is stupid, cocky, and an embarassment to the sport. He needs his license pulled. I’m sick of his antics, he has been given WAY TOO MANY CHANCES.
February 9th, 2009 at 12:55 am
I dont understand why people think his bullshit attitude is acceptable, what kind of diversity are you looking for in MX? angry kids that defy all authority? Sure the sport needs stand out edgy people, but not someone who continues to cross the line time after time. He deserves what he gets.
February 9th, 2009 at 6:21 am
At the end of the day j-law is a fast rider who is bad tempered wear’s his heart on his sleave, gets into trouble, and talks trash about he’s rivals all I can say is brillant, the 2009 lites series is actually exciting to watch, to see whats happening every round it’s great for the sport who wants supercross to be boring I mean at least he’s not a church retart thanking god for being blessed like the rest, and for the rest f–ckn boring. j law yeah needs to grow up but keep your heart on your sleave to keep drama to unfold.
February 9th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
Here’s the solution!
Whoever handles J-Law needs to lock that little f@$ in that new semi when he’s not on the track. If he’s not on the track……. then back in the box. Simple! Out of sight, out of mind, out of trouble! At this rate, by the time he figures it out, gets his act together, comes to his senses, etc, etc…. he’ll be past his prime & without worthy sponsorship. He may have talent and speed, but he isn’t the only one and he’s now starting to fall behind the rest of the class. If rubbin is racing then J-Law and his buddies (Hansen) need to quite acting like a bunch of sissies when someone offends them out on the track and ditch the “I’ll meet you at the bike racks after school mentality” and stay in there own f…ing pit area and handle things on the track. I keep hearing people refer to him as a badass. If being cocky and getting in fights is what makes him a badass then he needs to switch to a new sport where he can prove that he is. In this sport, winning races and beating the competition is what classifies you as a badass. He is fast, but so what? He has 1 title to his name which at this point is looking more and more like a fluke. Someone earlier said “just wait for the outdoors”. Well that’s all well and good, but if the guy can’t stay out of trouble long enough to run the short program that is the East or West Coast lites series then hows he gonna run a full outdoor season. I mean he already jacked the last one of those up too. Hell! He didn’t even qualify for a main at one of the few races he made this year and that was without getting in trouble off the track. If he keeps putting himself in the situation where he isn’t even allowed to compete, then where does that leave him? I’ll tell you where, practicing at a local track waiting for Swap to come by with his camera to shoot the next catching up with Jason Lawrence piece for this website. He needs to ask himself if being a badass is as important as being a winner in the sport of motocross? The music business has a name for this type of talent “1 Hit Wonder”.
Don’t get me wrong. I like watching him race too! So, for the love of God Jason, take an F&%ing break from being a badass and try adding practicing professionalism to your weekly workout routine so you can actually compete while you’re young. Maybe you can be the first PROFESSIONAL BADASS motocrosser.
Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 9th, 2009 at 6:32 pm
Why people keep saying such defending comments as “MOTO needs him.” are obviously of the same mindset as Lawrence and therefore oblivious to the way some others (I) may think and believe. I do not feel that what Lawrence has displayed on or off the track as long as I have been watching him on TV is anything closely resembling why MOTO needs him. If the message you are sending is that it is the right thing to do to be,unsportsmanlike, dishonest, disrespectful, immature, arrogant, antisocial, and an excellent specimen for reasons “not to feed children caffeine,” well then I guess MOTO does need Lawrence.
February 9th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
If I needed to view anything but Supercross and the natural/acquired talent it takes to perform on a top level, then I could just change the channel and watch WWE which is what Lawrence reminds me of anyway/anymore. Sure he draws audience so does WWE BUT it’s fake….Is Supercross. No!!!
Case Closed!
February 9th, 2009 at 7:10 pm
Anonymous: That alone speaks volumes! I have a feeling you are the real Mr. Jason Lawrence.
Dale Carnegie said,”everybody justifies their own actions.” Nice job!!

There really is a God!!!

No Truer Words Spoken. Nicely Done Dzone!

Nice to hear that your occupational security is intact, and that all you have to do is camp out on Lawrences front doorstep for.. good investigative journalism to inform and educate the masses about antisocial behavior.
That’s what I get out of bed for each morning. Dulf!
February 9th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
Isn’t occupational security great!

Fair call Kcorde I’m with you on that one..
February 10th, 2009 at 9:59 am
ok j-law jake a lot of heat for his actions..however he is a great rider with a lot of unprofessional issues off the track. People just need to leave the kid alone and let him be him. He’s still a kid and need to enjoy life and grow out of it someday if he ever does. Jlaw is Jlaw and hate him or love him hes a good rider that doesnt care what people think and he stands out. He’s a champion and if he can get it together again he can be a title holder if he trains or not. So all and all im sick of hearing people bash him and all this crap becuase hes a sick rider who just gets a bad rep even though he can beat all the people disin’ him anyday..
February 12th, 2009 at 12:22 am
It doesnt matter if he is on the track or not. He will find away to fight someone. Just like when he got in a fight with Villopoto on the track. I think the AMA should just step up and kick his ass out of motocross forever.
February 12th, 2009 at 6:44 am
jlaw is a kid from jersey that has a attitude like no other racer in this sport. No one has every seen this kind of behavior before with a professional rider nobody is used to this. Most people dont like jlaw but i do. He has good talent if he could get his life starightend out. But he has rivals just like all of us do he doesnt like everyone and im sure all of you have a problem with somebody cause i no i do. jlaw is the kid that dont take nothin from nobody at anytime including on tv or at any event. lets just put it this way this kid walks the walk he is not going to let anyone run him over at anytime and i dont think any of you would either so give the kid a break. Who are all of you to judge somebody for what they have done im sure all of us have done somethings that we dont want to remember. I have. An besides non of us can talk we arent professional riders either. jlaw just needs to straighten things out witch will probaly take a while. And jlaw doesnt start all of the fights alot of the riders dont like him because he is faster and more aggresive than they are (dungey) or he is not a far racer. sense when has racing every been fair?? Besides i like to some boxing action sometimes thats just a good old racin throw down. Get used to it people cause i think jlaw will be in this sport for a while.
February 12th, 2009 at 7:06 am
For all of you that like jlaw he is the man. And all of you that dont you sound like another rider i no that crys about everything (ryan dungey) so suck it up people its a extreme sport this sport is not supposed to be a joy ride. A little diversity would be great.
February 12th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
hes exactly wat this sport needs instead of all these, goody goody racers. hes out there having hella lotta fun, keep it up man
February 13th, 2009 at 1:23 pm
jlaw is f***in dope rider the sport needs a outlaw rider like him all you people baggin on him just shut up you would do anythingto be in his postion right now he just like to go out and have fun he doesnt care what anyone thinksand thats a good thing. JLAW do what you do man
February 13th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
This kid is an idiot, i’ve never seen and employer that would put up with so much stupid crap. Moto needs him? are you stupid? Moto needs him as bad as that lady with 18 kids needs another one…
February 13th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
If I like J-law does that make me cool? He’s an outlaw, so if I like him, I’m an outlaw. Retards.
February 15th, 2009 at 6:05 am
So the rules say anyone engaging in a fight, so why was J Law the only one penalised, who was the other rider he was fighting?
Let him ride, mx will end up full of pansy’s like dungey, praising the lord every podium.
That will be heaps of fun
February 15th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
that was great. funny stuff.
February 16th, 2009 at 12:00 am
Dude shut up seriously I could not agree more with the diversity thing but this is getting out of hand and enough is enough he needs to straighten up. Racer to racer JLaw is quick, i know I’ve been on the track with him although his ego is way to big he needs to look back and start winning because he wants to not because the other guy has a rough season. Dungey is a good racer and just because he thanks the lord does not mean he is a pussy just different morals than you. If you had as much talent as he did im sure your speech would have something like that in it too. And if your a little kid im sorry to see you act like that, you won’t be going far in this sport. Take that from an actual rider i have worked his ass off to get where where i am and know what the sport truly is.
February 16th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
It’s so funny reading all of the comments on the message board. Before all of you J-Law supporters start backing him up know what the hell you are talking about! First he has been in trouble continuosly since he started racing his rookie year ( got his ass kicked at a practice track by Chad Reed ) until he hit Troy Lee in the most recent fight, which had nothing to do with him. The fight was between Boniface and Hansen. It’s weird he had food poisoning the same day the AMA was poping drug test, not that he wouldn’t pass it i’m sure it was the fish he had for supper the night before. Our sport is backed by all of the amature racers and more importantly their parents who get them into the sport. If every rider was a low life sorry excuse for a racer as Lawrence, how many parents are going to say, yep thats the sport I want my kid to get into. If you want our sport to grow don’t turn it into a MTV reality soap opra with one kid that doesn’t give a shit about anyone but himself. If you are going to back him up come up with something more defensive than, J-Law is fast and would beat you on the track if you raced. By the way anyone could beat him on the track, he can’t race half of the races and can’t make the main anyhow, yep he is real fast!
February 16th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
How can you defend a guy that has been in trouble his entire career? Before you defend him you need to have something more intelligent than, “dude he is fast”, “he would beat your ass “, “our sport needs him “, or “he is just being himself “. If he is so fast why isn’t he in the top five, hell, the top ten in points? How would he beat me in a race that he can’t even participate in? Why does our sport need someone that fights everyone that is faster than him and hits a huge sponsor and ambassador of our sport, (Troy Lee) in a pit fight that had nothing to do with him. He didn’t race because he had food poisoning. That’s understandable, if it wasn’t the same night the AMA was rumored to be popping drug test, and if you don’t show up with your little thug buddy Hansen to start a fight with Boniface. Anyone who turns on Supercross because they are excited to see what J-Law does next isn’t a real moto fan and won’t be a moto supporter for long anyway, so those few people that do watch our sport because of J-Law’s antics don’t do anything for us anyway. J-Law can’t back any of his statements up anyway. Why would you defend a guy that talks about how fast he is then can’t even get enough points to be in the top ten. Who was it that he said he was so much better than at the beginning of the season, oh ya the guy that’s number one in the points standings now. The only way he can make the spotlight is getting into trouble. It might work for awhile but all trouble and no results will lead to no factory support sooner than later.
February 22nd, 2009 at 1:07 pm
You guys are dunb and jelous if all he does is party like you say why is he the champ. It must just be luck not, he is probably the most talented rider out there so i think he is fine. Plus who cares if he likes to fight people have been fighing sense the dawn of time whats the difference, just cause he is the west coast lights champ he can’t fight? Please you guys are pathetic
March 20th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
Can TWMX put up link to a page on the AMA website to petition the excessive and unnecessary penalizations against J-Law. The kid rarely does anything deserving of this stuff. Why didn’t Hansen or the other guy get anything levied against them? Everyone knows Jason didn’t do anything! They say he allegedly attacked troy lee, he denied it. So what is this for? God, i hate the AMA…
March 20th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
haha clearly you have NO idea what actually happened that evening
March 20th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
hahahahahahaha
March 20th, 2009 at 7:37 pm
cant ride hit the main with the big boys? too bad he had the fastest transfer time in the SUPERCROSS division at daytona and then led most of the race
March 26th, 2009 at 11:41 am
man stop hatein on him he is more talented then any of you will ever be. Yea he has messed up but still sick as fuck on a bike and thats all that matters
