Broc Hepler Update

Team Yamaha’s Broc Hepler suffered a scary crash during practice at Anaheim 1 and suffered what was suspected to be a broken collarbone. BHep blasted a few text messages our way to let us know he is okay.
“I’m okay, I just have a broken collarbone,” he said. “I am going to see my doctor tomorrow. It’s not bad enough to require plating, but there is a chance I might still have it plated if it will help me heal faster. I wasn’t knocked out like some people said, I was just laying there, hurting. I got the wind knocked out of me. I was laying there and I was like, ‘I can’t get up!’ and I would hear bikes coming. I was like, ‘this one is gonna hit me,’ and then I’d go, ‘whew! that one missed!’”

I ilke Hepler, but this guy needs to quit before he really hurts himself. When was the last time he made it through the supercross season? Or the motocross season?

I hope he can pull it together and show people the talent that he has. He is an awesome rider for sure.

I hate to see anybody hurt..But why don’t these guy’s wear
shoulder pads?
If I were a team manager it would be in their contracts!

I saw that entire accident, and anyone who doesn’t believe in neckbraces is crazy! Hepler took a direct blow to top of head at roughly 3rd gear haft throttle speed. It looked to me, too be as bad as 2006 San Diego(my apologizes forgot the kids name)! Not to over dramatize it, but I thought he was dead or definitely quadriplegic! I was apsolutely amazed when he stood up!

Hey those neck braces hurt worse when u fall. I quit wearing mine and sold it on ebay. I know it can protect but I know a few other guys that stop wearing them too. I do ride with my kidney belt tho. Bubba and villopoto dont wear any kidney belts but then they have factory suspension unlike stock.

Im not hating on broc but I cant remember when that guy rode injury free. He will get dropped if he continues. i dont even know how he makes money if he is not racing. Dude might be broke or using all his savings.

Broc will be just fine.I’ve been a fan for years.This guy has tons of talent!Look for Broc to race for years.He aint ready for pasture.Some years are better than others.Racers from eastern U.S. just seem to be better.HA!A little humor there.—-Very little!!!

I always enjoy watching the aggressive style of BHep. Man this guy has the worst luck. I hope he gets back into action soon.
