LAS VEGAS (July 23, 2003) – Clear Channel Entertainment’s motor sports division today announced that Chuck Franklin and Associates, a motorcycle law firm based in Tempe, Ariz., will sponsor the Maxxis U.S. Open at the MGM Grand Garden Arena October 11-12.
Franklin, a long-time supporter of Clear Channel Entertainment`s Motor Sports events, is an associate sponsor of the Maxxis U.S. Open. This year marks the first of a three-year agreement between Clear Channel Entertainment and Chuck Franklin and Associates. This year Franklin was given the Holeshot Award from the Road to Recovery foundation for his continual contributions to the sport.
“I have been going to the Maxxis U.S. Open since it’s inaugural year in 1998 and feel that it’s a great event,” said Franklin. “By sponsoring the event I am able to obtain some great exposure through television, print and at the live event.”

The Maxxis U.S. Open, founded in 1998 is an invitation-only motocross race held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, featuring the world’s top supercross/motocross racers in the world competing for $300,000 – the single largest payout in motorcycle racing. In addition to the premier open class of racing, the Maxxis U.S. Open also offers a variety of racing including minicycles and KTM Junior Supercross Challenge racing.
