Earlier today we reported that Team Yamaha’s Chad Reed has pulled out of this year’s U.S. Open in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yamaha has officially confirmed this, stating that his injuries are forcing him to do so.
After a string of injuries, at the end of the 2005 Outdoor series, the Australia has decided that he is going to sit out the extravagant race, and not defend his title in order to heal up for the rapidly approaching Supercross season. Reed pulled out of the Nationals after round seven in Colorado, in order to get pins removed from his hand.
As for the upcoming season, early word is that Reed does plan to compete in the World Supercross rounds slated to take place in Canada, for the second year in a row. The first round of the World Supercross Series is December 3 in Toronto, Canada, at the Skydome.
