Crusty Demons Global Assault Tour – Launch Of Freestyle Motocross Spectacular

22 stop tour features world’s best riders and builds on wildly-successful 2003 Australian tour

SAUSALITO, CA, February 24, 2004 — There’s a new motocross and music show coming to your hometown, and you might want to lock up the women and children. The Crusty Demons Global Assault Tour will descend on 22 unsuspecting cities this summer. Sporting the world’s best freestyle riders, the multi million dollar production is a fully choreographed spectacular featuring DJs, freaks, dancing girls, amazing stunts, pyrotechnics, heart pumping light and sound show, all set in a scene of a post-apocalyptic world. The Crusty Demons Tour is not your grandmother’s event.

RUSH Sports and Events International, brings the tour to the United States after a huge success in 2003, playing to 10 sold out arenas throughout Australia with an average gross of $750,000 (Aus) per night. It was the biggest youth sports event ever to come to the country and was described by MX Machine Magazine as the “greatest freestyle show in the world, ever.” The TV broadcast of the tour in New Zealand garnered an incredible record-breaking 95% share among men 15-24. The tour will head to New Zealand on March 20th and then make a return visit to Australia in early May of this year before heading to the U.S.

The U.S. tour route will stretch from west to east throughout June and July 2004, with seats priced from $17.50 to $49.50 in most cities. (Full schedule attached.) The tickets will go on-sale thru’ Ticketmaster beginning April 17th, and most stops are expected to sell out early. Pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively to Crusty Club members signed up at the tour’s website at www.crusty.com.

The tour features Brian Deegan, current X Games champion and the most medaled X-Games FMXer ever; current Gravity Games champion Nate Adams; freestyle motocross legends “Mad” Mike Jones and Seth Enslow; Crusty Demons video regulars Ronnie Faisst, Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and, of course, Bubba. “The event is like Mad Max turned hardcore rock musical,” mentioned Dan Hirsch, President of RUSH Sports U.S. “It’s a theatrical spectacular like nothing on the planet.”

The tour follows the tradition of the highly successful “Crusty Demons of Dirt” video series by Fleshwound Films, which has chronicled the massive jumps, lethal crashes and serious fun of freestyle motocross and related sports. “Crusty” is the most successful action sports video series of all time, with nine video releases and sales in the millions to more than 60 countries across the globe.

A TV compilation of last year’s Australian tour will premiere on April 10th on the Fox Sports Network, giving U.S. fans a taste of the mayhem that’s in store. More information on the tour is available at: www.crusty.com.
