WHAT WE LIKED:
- When we wear it, we feel like Damon Bradshaw.
- Gloves fit great, and are not too thick.
- We loved the eighties… so naturally we love the colorway and design.
- The sizing is spot-on. The jersey isn’t overly big, nor does it fit like a extra-medium Euro tee. The pants are comfortable and didn’t slide off our butt while riding.
WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE:
- We didn’t get our set until last week…
-The pant is of the Nickel line, which is not Axo’s premium pant. Thus, there is no leather in the knees.
WHAT WE REALLY THINK: The 55DSL/AXO collaboration is a welcomed addition to AXO’s line-up. Though we have always liked the fit of AXO, we haven’t always been blown-away by the designs. The 55DSL is a big step in the right direction. These days, as gear gets brighter and more dynamic, every company needs to have a kit with some personality. Plus, we love anythng that allows us to show off our amateur modeling skills.

really people if you got offered a sponsorship by them and you had to wear that gear you would the gear doesnt make the rider everyone should know that ive been wearing the same moose racing gear and it is brown and white for the last 3 years and as long as it holds up and does its job its good enough for me and that is the way it should be

I purchased this gear and when you see it in person you will be blowen away by the attetion to detail that AXO has but into their products. The gear last longer than any other gear you can find at your typical Pacsun or Zumies dealer out there.

I really like the colors of this gear and looking at the print on the back of the jersey it’s as if they have Transworld Inset in the number, To me that is pretty cool that they take the time to customize the printing. Who makes that AXO?

I don’t mind the loud colors/designs that are coming out that are early 90s syle, but that crap is just hideous. There’re no rhyme or reason to the design and it looks like it’s already faded! That AXO logo looks absolutely retarded.

We like to experiment and to be an innovator it takes many tries.
Those colors and graphics have been developed by the 55DSL design team with AXO approval, since the gear is a worldwide fashion statement, not just a motocross focused experiment.
It may have not caught Answer Racing fans’ attention, but it took motocross in front of a few more million people that possibly will get inspired and buy a bike to join our fantastic industry.

What is with some people they think gear is good just because there favorite rider wears it. For this Anonymous guy i will put periods behind my sentences and cap the first word i didn’t know a blog had to be perfect. As for the good gear grab a pair of moose racing XCR pants and put them next to a pair of Answer Ion Pants, and tell me what is the better pants in the stitching zipper and the buttons that hold them on your rear so you can race.

AXO has really good gear the pants work really well with knee braces and they can take a beating. most of you guy are just beating up on this gear just for how it looks but if you haven’t used it don’t talk its by far better then fox or thor products. over all AXO is a vary comfortable gear and can take a beating out on the track

AXO makes quality products. Their gear is extremely comfortable and durable. Even though the 55DSL is based on the Nickel pant, AXO’s Nickel line is better than most comapanies highest end gear!

I like the gear, our riders are always pushing boundaries and styles…I think that the bright colour make you stand out more so then the norm lines on the market. I havent worn the gear nor had a rider in the gear so comfort may be another thing but until then im not going to talk slack about it! People who reject change have very small minds and are limiting themselves to what they can do. Their stubborness to change may very well be thier own limiting factor to what could be a great career.
I like the gear guys and glad to see someone brining out a different line!

Damn them aresome bright a$$ colors, wont lose ya at the track anyway.I would wear it, but i know my friends would laugh at the 80’s colors scheme……..I like it cause everyone would know it’s me, and i doubt there would be very many at the track wearing them………….
I’ll wear AXO forever, even when u guys go and do crazt stuff like this……………….

I’m a sponsored rider by AXO and the gear is awsome, 55DSL is a geart one we need the bright colors to come back, it puts alot of style back into motocross. I’ve raced motocross since 1979 and i’ve seen some pretty bad designs over the years of diff. company’s such as JT back in the 80’s and early 90’s those designs where bad but colorful.The boots are very awsome for fit,comfort, light weight and safety, I could’nt ask for a better boot or gear. Plus AXO gear is light weight so it won’t make you feel like you got a ton on your body when your riding or racing. It also has a very great cooling system gear and boots that keeps me very cool when im out on the track. AXO also has great safety products and other products that are awsome. I had fox last year and i was’nt that please with there gear and boots, it was heavy and hot and ripped easy, but they had some plus sides too. For my own opinion with me using AXO its the best or definatly in the top three of gear and produts out there.

BEING AN EXPERINCED RIDER, IT IS HARD TO FIND GEAR TO SUIT THE NEEDS THAT I HAVE ON THE TRACK. ONCE I RACED IN AXO GEAR I KNEW THAT I HAD FOUND THE GEAR THAT NOT ONLY SUITED THE NEEDS OF MY OWN COMFORT, BUT THE NEEDS THAT SUITED MY BIKE. NOT ONLY DID THE DESIGNS OF AXO SATIFIY THE LOOK I WAS GOING FOR, BUT THE FEEL OF THE SUIT GAVE ME THE FEELING OF COMFORT AND ALLOWED ME TO RACE WITH A DESIGN THAT I KNEW WAS MADE FOR LOOKS AND SPEED. BEFORE RIDING IN AXO GEAR, I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR THE FIT OF THE CROTCH PANEL. THE ATOMIC FIT STRETCH CROTCH PANEL ALLOWED ME TO FEEL COMFORTABLE GOING AT A HIGH SPEED IN THE TUCKED POSITION. GOING AT A SPEED OF 182.06 MPH IS A SPEED THAT NEEDS BALLISTIC MATERIALS FOR ULTIMATE WEAR RESISTANCE, AND AXO WAS THE COMPANY TO FIT THOSE NEEDS. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LEATHERS, SUCH AS THE FOUR WAY STRETCH CALF PANELS THAT WERE DOUBLE AND TRIPLE STITCHED, ALLOWED ME TO FEEL SAFE IN GOING AT A SPEED THAT WAS UNPREDICTED FOR MY BIKE. I AM FULLY SATISFIED WITH AXO GEAR AND FULLY SUPPORT THEIR BRAND NAME. AXO HAS BEEN MY CATALYST FOR THE SUCCESS IN THE RECORDS THAT I HOLD FOR THE 650 CC LAND SPEED RECORDS. I like the colors other than the yellow knee’s. But the yellow on the back looks good, not sure if it would look better in person or on me, but otherwise nice gear. Keep up the GREAT work!

That gear is top notch! If your dissing the colors just remember you can look fast and be slow in any gear , I would rather look good and go fast, so I choose axo. Plus retro is in right now so what just wear some gear that looks good and go ride thats what this sports about and axo keeps that tradition.

This AXO gear is great, i just got a whole set from them, and like they said was extremely wear resistant (did a rough fall that shouldve torn the shirt.) tough gear at an affordable price… what more can you ask for?

Personally, i love the gear. i ride with AXO, and their gear holds up better so far than any other gear i have owned. This gear color is sweet! atleast for the people out there that dont want to look just like a factory fake… looking different than every one else is the best, and this gear helps do that… individuality is what this sport is about.

Axo gear is of very high quality, fits comfortable, and really can take abuse. I wore out Shift, Thor, Alpine Star. Then I found AXO and became sponsored. The gear and the people at Axo are top notch and personal with everyone. Bottom line is you can't beat Axo either in design, price or quality!

Awesome Gear!!!! The Retro/Heavymetal look isnt for anyone that doesnt want to be noticed. The gear fits good, I dont feel restricted at all, breathes great, no complaints.
