Deluge Sport Drink-Backed Kyle Lewis (Moto XXX) and Kyle Partridge (MB1) Both Make Houston Mains

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Feb. 12, 2007) — Deluge Sport Drink landed two racers in both the AMA Supercross class and AMA Lites class main events at Houston’s Reliant Stadium this past Saturday, Round Six of the 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series.

Moto XXX’s Kyle Lewis put in a solid ride in the first heat racing, getting through to the main by holding onto the last transfer position (9th). In the main Lewis got tied up on the first lap and ended up in 22nd place. He was able to work to pick off a few riders after that and settled for 18th overall, but was content with making his first main since Round Three.

For Partridge the route to the Lites class main event started out strong again this week. The Nevada native raced to a 5th place finish in the second heat race to transfer to the main. In the main Partridge got a good start and was in 6th place after the first lap. But a mishap on lap two would put him back a lap and he’d have to settle for 22nd place overall. Not scoring any points, Partridge got bumped out of the top ten overall — though he can easily make that up this weekend if he continues to race as well as he has been and works to stay out of trouble.

Noteworthy: Neither Josh Summey (Moto XXX) nor Daniel Sani (MB1) were able to make their respective main events.

Next up for the Deluge Sport-backed Moto XXX and MB1 teams is the Feb. 17th contest at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, Round Seven of the 16-round Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series tour. Last year at San Diego Lewis was 12th overall in the Supercross main event while Partridge finished 22nd in the Lites class main.
