CARLSBAD, Calif., (May 29, 2007) — Deluge Sport Drink-backed Tommy Hahn cranked up his Honda CRF250R and let ‘er snap at Mt. Morris, Pa., this past weekend – home of the Monster Energy/Kawasaki MX National at High Point — placing a solid 6th in the 40-man AMA Lites class main event, round two of the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship series.
Hahn, who went 6th/5th in the two moto format, pulled out in 6th place after the first lap of the first moto, then held that position for the next 28 minutes plus two laps to finish right where he started. In the second moto Hahn got out in 7th place, then put on a solid charge to make up two spots to finish 5th — good enough for 6th overall on the day.
“It was hot out, and the course was super tough, so Deluge Sport Drink came in real handy today, said Hahn. “Honda also had my bike running excellent, so the combination of the two was what got up near the top five on the weekend. I’m looking forward to getting right back after it at Southwick in two weeks.
Also running well in the Lites class for Deluge was Ryan Morais (Yamaha). The supercross front-runner worked his way into the top 15 overall at High Point, going 13th/16th for a 14th place overall finish. Moto XXX’s Mitchell Dougherty finished 30th overall (22nd/24th).
In the AMA Motocross class Moto XXX/Deluge Sport Drink’s Josh Summey got out to a great start (13th) and worked his way up to the top ten (10th) when the checkers flew on the first moto. In the second moto Summey didn’t fair quite as well and had to settle for 16th overall on the weekend, based solely on his first moto efforts.
Next up for the Deluge Sport Drink-backed athletes is the June 10th Southwick National (Southwick, Mass.) at Motocross 338, Round Three of the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship.
Available in 32-ounce bottles with half the sugar of other Sports Drinks, while replenishing Electrolytes, and Amino Acids, Deluge Sport Drink is what high level athletes need to perform at their peak.
