DMXS Tonight (11/10/04)

DMXS live every Wednesday night 9pm est. @ www.dmxsradio.com

On the eve of Veteran’s Day, I would like to take this opportunity to show our love and respect to those that are, and have served, our nation. Even with an election that seemed to divide the electorate down the middle, we must remember those that served in trying times to assure us that right. I include a quote from the character General George C. Marshall in Saving Private Ryan. “I have here a very old letter, written to a Mrs. Bixby in Boston. Dear Madam: I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. Yours very sincerely and respectfully, Abraham Lincoln.” Now, on with the show.

Travis Pastrana is a lightning rod, whether riding a beach race in Europe or wowing the crowds at the X Games. The boards are flaming in anticipation of Anaheim 1, and if Travis will be a healthy lightning rod for “The Perfect Storm.” We will check in with TP and get an update on his next move as the two wheeled world watches on. Nick Wey was undoubtably a casualty of the bidding wars that secured the elite riders. While that might have been a blow for some, Nick stood back up, brushed off his MSR gear, and rode his ass off for a second overall at the US Open with his new MDK Motorsports ride. Nick is an old friend of the show, and we at DMXS are working a special project for him. I can’t release too many details, but lets just say Team Hurricane and Bad Billy are involved. It’s that time of the year for riders to secure sponsors for 05, and RJ Kraus from Sponsorhouse.com has a lot to say about that. I can go ahead and say that because of our stellar riders and championship like results here at DMXS, we have secured all the used tear-offs we want. I can’t promise that kind of love for everyone, but check out their site and see what they can do for you.
