Dragon Follows Up On Successful Privateer Program

CARLSBAD, CA. – Dragon Optical is proud to announce that after a very successful first season of our Privateer goggle, we are following it up with a new color for a second season. The Dragon Privateer goggle, a goggle whose sole function is to support the Privateer rider who is the heart and soul of motocross.

What defines a privateer rider?  On paper, a privateer is a rider that does not receive factory support to compete. The Privateer is a self-funded competitor that is financed only by winnings and private support. But, what really defines a privateer is his sheer will to succeed against seemingly impossible odds.

“We were so pleased with the success of the first year of this project,” stated Kenny Adams, Dragon’s Team Manager. “We wanted to follow it up with additional offerings.”

Each $45.00 purchase of the Privateer goggle will directly support the cause of the Privateer.  A portion of each Privateer goggle sold will be placed in to the Dragon Privateer Contingency Fund that will ultimately go back into the pockets (or gas tanks) of the Privateer traveling the professional circuit.  The contingency fund is available to each and every privateer rider who participates in the program.

By supporting the Privateer riders, it helps to grow the sport. Touring the professional circuit is very expensive and can be a hurdle for most Privateer riders trying to climb the ranks. The Dragon Privateer program will lend assistance to help riders get out on the track and compete.    Help support the privateer rider and the sport.
