The new 09′ is much better than las years model. As soon as I get my first navy paycheck in four months I am getting the new 09′ Yamaha. It rules over the entier 09′ mx field…

never been a fan of yamahas, the basic look of the bike is just ugly and i havent really ever been impressed with the motor either. ill be watching for the 09 twmx 250f shootout before i buy my next bike.

I kind of agree. this guy is fast over the jumps but he isn’t the quickest in the corners. he keeps draggin his foot.

Just purchased a 2009. I have logged six hours with the new yz250f. I owened a 2007. The difference between the two bikes is phenomenal. Turing is so superior. Handling is feather like. The transition between braking and leaning the bike for cornering is so easy. It fells like a BMX. The bike feels thinner. I am spending about half the energy turing with this bike. Suspension is excellent for me (178lbs). I find better power in the low end of the power spectrum. Some of the ex pro racers coaches at the track tried the bike all were very impressed with its turing ability. The airbox area accomodates my SIDI boots better so I am able to hang on better with my legs. Less vibrations in the handle bars. The seat grips much better for sudden accelerations. I find a slightly more nervous front end on the long straight aways. Overall rating 9.99/10.

I`m soon going to by the 09 yz250f. I can`t wait! This first look video was a little dissapointing. I was hoping for a crazy video where they pushed the bike to the limits. But i know that the bike is more awsome than it looked like in the video =) Exspesially when i`m riding it with my leovince exhaust and moster energy decals

i have a yz 250 2 stroke and love it but i know that if the riders and set up of the bike were both even there is not much chance of the 250 2 stroke winning against a 450f or a 125 2 stroke agains a 250f
also about bubba winning on a 2 stroke at the end of the lites season a few years ago when he switched from the 125 to the 250f he killed the rest even more
2 strokes r fun and i wanna keep mine but i know i am at a disadvantage aginst 4 strokes

four strokes arn’t better motors by any means. people only think they are because of the class two strokes get put into. comparing a 250cc 2stroke to a 250cc four?, PA-LEEZ a yz250 makes more torque and horsepower than a yz250f.

how are they not better motors? You cant compare two different classes together like that, if you break it down to engine size then yes equivilent sizes favor the 2 stroke, but in its class the way it should be, 4 strokes put out more ponies, more torque and over a wider spectrum, its also much easier to ride a 4 stroke because of the engine characteristics. Dont get me wrong i love riding 2 strokes, but they just cant compete, and for all of you who want to race you two strokes, 2 years ago the AMA passed a ruling allowing two strokes of up to 149cc’s to compete with the 250f’s…only one manufacturer followed up with that. KTM, on the other hand im buying a new yz in a few weeks im super stoked

your 4 stroke makes less horse power and foot pounds of torque per cubic centimeter not to mention it weighs more you dumb sack of crap so why don’t you stick to something you know wat your talking about the only reason why your 4 strokes win is because you pussies put a yz450f against a yz250 ps your clearly rich because you own a ktm so you have fun checking your valves every other ride

well it doesnt sound like you boys are pros. New AMA rule for amateurs for this year is 250two strokes are legal in the 250f class. and i saw a rumor on MXA that they might be legal for the 09 nationals circuit. thats the pro circit
