Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. Kicks Off Night Two as the BooKoo Arenacross Rolls Through a Snowy West Valley City, Utah

Woods Sweeps Night Two to Re-Capture the Championship Points Lead!

West Valley City, UT December 3, 2005 ¿ Advanstar ¿ a leading provider of print, event and online media for the powersports, off-road and automotive aftermarket industries ¿ closed out round four of the K&N presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series Brought to you by Toyota in West Valley City, Utah.

The crowd was fired up early and often as Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. rode out on his Honda CRF450 during opening ceremonies to welcome the crowd. The excitement didn¿t stop there as the fans were treated to a battle for the ages as Josh Woods and Josh Demuth, separated by just one point in the chase for the championship, went head to head for the championship points lead.

In the 250cc Main Event, Josh Woods on the Fun Center Troy Lee Designs PPG Suzuki took the lead before the end of lap one and never looked back. Team Babbitts Enxus Kawasaki Rider Brad Ripple looked to real Woods in until a crash in the woops sent him flying into the tough blocks giving teammate Josh Demuth, who raced his way through the pack, a second place finish. Tommy Hofmaster on this Sano PPG Shogun Yamaha took the last spot on the podium.

The 450 Main Event finished in similar fashion. Crossroads Powersports Kawasaki rider Damian Plotts took the lead early with Woods in chase, who later made his move on the outside of the whoops to take over the lead. Demuth once again charged form the middle of the pack to catch Woods, but fell short as Woods grabbed the checkered flag giving Demuth another second place finish on the night. Hofmaster looked to capture the third place finish for a 1,2,3 sweep for the night, but it was team BooKoo Energy Al Lamb¿s Honda rider Tiger Lacey holding off Hofmaster for the third and final spot on the podium.

In the Dash for Cash Tiger Lacey continued his dominance grabbing the holeshot and the win, sweeping round four. Lacey¿s fifth win on the season gives him a commanding lead in the overall points standing for the Dash for Cash.

Trevor Vines and Tim Boca put on a freestyle exhibition that got the crowd on their feet. Riders all night long struggled to get over the BooKoo booster jump while the two freestyle stars busted out huge tricks off the 70 footer.
