MURRIETA, Calif., (February 10, 2004) ¿ Suzuki’s Broc Hepler will make his regular season professional supercross debut in Houston this weekend aboard Suzuki¿s RM-Z 250. The 17-year-old Kittanning, Pa. resident sustained a separated shoulder while practicing three weeks ago, but thanks to some excellent medical care, he is ready to race.
¿I wasn¿t sure if I would be ready for Houston, so I¿ve been taking things one day at a time and focusing on recuperating. I¿ve been doing physical therapy three times a week and last week, my doctor gave me the green light to race,¿ explained No. 60. ¿I¿m not sure where I¿ll finish this weekend but I intend to keep it on two wheels and learn a lot in my first supercross race.¿
The race will also be Hepler¿s first opportunity to showcase his new sponsors for 2004: O¿Neal, Shoei and Alpinestars. ¿This is my first race in all of my new gear, so I definitely want to put in a good showing for all of the people who support me,¿ said Hepler.
Broc Hepler is sponsored by Suzuki, O¿Neal, Shoei, Scott, Alpinestars, UPMC Sports Medicine, CTi and Allsport Dynamics.
