What We Liked:

-Fits very well, leaving no gaps in foam against the face

-Foam does excellent job of handling sweat

-Very light weight

What We Didn’t Like:

-Why don’t goggles just come with some tear-offs in the box? That’s like saying “batteries not included.” Just sayin’.

What We Really Think:
The Proven is the first new goggle that Oakley has introduced in a few years, and although they are constantly improving their products, it’s always good to see new designs come along. We like the overall fit of this new goggle. Outrigger systems have become all the rage lately, so it’s nice to see a return to a more simplified design that still works.  Oakley truly did go for the anatomical design as the frame rests very well on the face, and the foam is not too thick, yet absorbs even the sweatiest of mugs. An important thing to keep in mind is that while the Proven is now Oakley’s cheapest goggle, it is still not a price point product. It has all the bells and whistles of a higher end goggle but comes from a minimalist approach.
