Injury Reports, Upcoming Events and More from Moto XXX

Last weekend, while practicing for the upcoming 125 East Supercross series, Moto XXX rider Larry Ward crashed and suffered a broken collarbone. Thought the exact date of his return to racing is currently unknown, Larry and his doctors feel that it will be somewhere between four and six weeks.

On Saturday, January 31st, Team Moto XXX/Hahm Motorsports will contest the third and final Anaheim Supercross of the 2004 season. 250cc contender Damon Huffman is coming off of a strong performance at round 4 in San Diego. “Huffy” got another top-three start on the mighty Yoshimura-tuned Honda CRF450R and went on to battle factory riders throughout the 20-lap main event. He appeared to be a lock for a top-five finish, but a crash with just three laps to go relegated him to eighth. It wasn’t a bad result, but the veteran rider wants more.

“I want a podium finish”, he said matter-of-factly after the race. “I know I have it in me, I just need to put 20 really good laps together. My speed is definitely there and my bike is awesome, so the results will come.”

The points situation is looking very good for Huffman and Moto XXX. Going into round 7 of the World Supercross GP, he is one point out of the lead and sixth in the AMA series points. Consequently, he is the highest ranked privateer in both series.

The Anaheim Alliance between Moto XXX and Hahm Motorsports will manifest itself one more time with an autograph signing at the dealership at 6:30 PM on Friday, January 30th. The store is located at the corner of Ball Rd and Anaheim Blvd. Joining the fray and signing autographs will be a host of Honda factory riders as well. Race goers will also be able to see a Hahm Motorsports display in the Anaheim pits.

Delivering the Moto XXX knockout punch that will leave a lasting impression on Southern California, team owner Jordan “Top 15” Burns and his band, Strung Out, will be playing on Friday night (Jan. 30th) at The Grove, which is in the parking lot of Edison International Field. Jordan is coming off of his most successful finish yet in the annual Crossover race and pumped to be providing entertainment to the motocross community once again. Among the other bands scheduled to play is The Faction, featuring professional skateboarder and longtime friend of Moto XXX, Steve Caballero. The show starts at 7:00 PM, so fans will have plenty of time to go to Hahm for the autographs and get to the show before the big boys come out.

Great racing plus autographs and an awesome concert—who else, but Moto XXX could ever bring so many great elements together in one weekend?
