LG Pit Party Gives Lucky Fans a Rare Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse into Freestyle Motocross

Meet-and-greet event offers great photo op prior to LG World Championships of FMX!

(POMONA, CA) ¿ Professional freestyle motocross (FMX) riders are the gladiators of action sports. They enter the coliseum dressed for battle in shiny full-face helmets, body armor and their own distinctive uniforms. As they fly effortlessly through the air aboard their gleaming steeds, they are larger than life figures who illustrate a level of fearlessness and power most of us could only aspire to. And they¿re seldom seen out of uniform with their guard down, just a bunch of regular guys who enjoy riding their motorcycles.

That¿s about to change for 300 Los Angeles-area FMX fans who will soon get a very rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of professional FMX. The LG Pit Party, a meet-and-greet event immediately prior to the LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross on October 1, is sponsored by LG Electronics MobileComm USA and Power 106 Radio. The Los Angeles radio station recently held a contest to select the lucky FMX enthusiasts who would receive invitations for the party. Not only will those winners get a chance to see all the work that goes into maintaining championships caliber FMX riders and equipment, they will also get to talk with their FMX heroes, collect autographs and pose for once-in-a-lifetime photo moments with the 15 best FMX riders in the world.

The LG Pit Party is scheduled from 6-7 pm on October 1 in Fairplex Park. The LG World Championships of FMX follows at 7:30 pm.
