Lake Elsinore, Calif., (January 25, 2005) MDK Motorsports team owner Mark Kvamme recently held a contest to help promote his race team and the team¿s website, www.MDKMoto.com. Over the past 9 months, people have been sending in their name and address via snail-mail or e-mail to enter in the contest in an attempt to win Casey Johnson¿s 2004 LinkedIn.com Kawasaki KX250 racebike.
¿We are very excited to give one of our fans a race-ready bike,¿ Kvamme said. ¿We plan on doing more in the future to further our fans¿ involvement and sense of belonging within our race team.¿
The contest ended October 31st, and the lucky winner is 17-year-old Jeff Chavolla of Menlo Park, Calif. Chavolla will receive his prize before the night program starts on Saturday, January 29th at San Francisco¿s SBC Park.
¿I saw the ad on the team¿s website for the contest and filled out the form,¿ Chavolla said. ¿I¿ve never won anything like this before so I¿m really excited. I get a new bike, I just got a new truck, and I just found out I¿m getting a new set of gear too. I¿m all set! It¿s just awesome that these guys do this for us fans. I can¿t thank them enough.¿
The new gear he¿s referring to is from MSR, which is giving a brand-new set of System-X riding gear to him as well.
¿We¿re really stoked to be standing behind MDK¿s team this year, and it was the least we could do to donate this gear to Jeff,¿ Casella said. ¿At least we know he¿ll be as safe and comfortable as possible on board his new KX.¿
