FLORENCE, KY — O’Neal U.S.A, makers of fine motocross and motorcycle racing gear and accessories, today announced it has signed Team Amsoil/Chaparral/Honda’s Mike LaRocco to represent their motocross clothing line for the 2004, 2005 season and beyond.
LaRocco, who has been a part of the O’Neal family since 1997, was excited to again sign on with the California-based company.
“The O’Neal product looks great, wears well and is very functional,” said LaRocco, the defending U.S. Open Champion and two-time Outdoor National Champion. “I’m happy to continue my close relationship with O’Neal and look forward to a successful year with them in 2004.”
According to O’Neal’s Vice President Frank Kashare, LaRocco played a much more active role this year in helping design the product, specifically the “Hardwear” and “Prodigy” lines.
“Over the many years that Mike has been racing, he’s worn and/or raced against every possible modern style of motocross clothing out there,” said Kashare. “We took into consideration Mike’s experience and decided it was important for us to utilize his knowledge even more so than ever when developing our All New Hardwear and Prodigy lines for ’04. We are confident that Mike’s input on the ’04 products will help us to continue to gain market share during this next year.”
Founded by racer Jim O’Neal in 1970, O’Neal Motocross and Motorcycle Racing Gear and Accessories will enter its 34th year in business beginning with the opening round of the 2004 Supercross Series at Anaheim’s Edison International Field.
