TWMX just talked with Beth LaRocco to get an update on Mike LaRocco’s shoulder, and apparently everything went well during Wednesday’s surgery in San Diego. His doctors found three torn muscles—two were scoped and otherwise left alone—while a third one needed to be reattached.
Currently plans call for Mike to be in a sling for three weeks, followed by a couple weeks of light therapy before he begins serious training again. It will probably be about eight weeks before he’s back on a bike (which gets pretty close to the start of the national season), but it’s still far better than the four months off the bike that he thought he might have been facing.
Get well soon, Mike!
