MMI Jeremy McGrath Scholarship Available throughout 2005-¿ 06 Amp¿d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp¿d Mobile AMA Supercross Series

AURORA, Ill. (December 7, 2005) ¿ Clear Channel Entertainment`s Motor Sports division announced today that the third annual MMI/Jeremy McGrath Scholarship contest will run in conjunction with the Amp¿d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp¿d Mobile AMA Supercross Series. Jeremy McGrath is the all-time winningest supercross racer in history with seven 250cc championships and 72 main event wins.

New for 2005-`06, the MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) will have Jeremy McGrath personally interview the top three finalists and pick the winner. The scholarship includes full tuition for one student to attend the 57-week motorcycle training program at either the Phoenix or Orlando campus of MMI.

¿This has been an extremely successful scholarship program,¿ said Terry Emig, director of event marketing, MMI. ¿We have seen some very creative entries and videos over the last two years. The first two recipients have represented themselves, MMI and Jeremy McGrath very well.¿

Contestants are required to download the official application from and submit the completed application along with a two minute video depicting why he or she deserves to win the scholarship. Applications and videos need to be postmarked by April 7, 2006.

The inaugural MMI Jeremy McGrath Scholarship winner, Eric Salava, who graduated with perfect attendance and a 3.9 Grade Point Average from MMI, signed a contract with Team Subway Coca-Cola Honda for the 2005-2006 Amp¿d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp¿d Mobile AMA Supercross Series. Last year¿s winner, Todd Hunn, is currently attending the MMI Orlando campus.

About Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP¿/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series

Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP is a 17-round global series that is produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment and Dorna Off Road S.L.  The Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series is a 16-round national series within the United States that is produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment, with the exception of the event held in Daytona Beach, Fl. that is independently produced by the International Speedway Corporation and also is not a part of the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP.
