CORONA, Calif., (May 7, 2007) — Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders Chris Gosselaar and Darcy Lange both scored top ten positions in the all-star AMA Lites class line up at the Las Vegas Supercross final this past weekend.
Gosselaar, 7th, just missed the podium in his West heat race (4th) — which was won by teammate Ryan Villopoto. Lange, 9th, would also make the main via his heat race, finishing 6th in the East heat (which was won by teammate Ben Townley).
In the main Gosselaar pulled a great start and got out of the first lap in 4th. Teammate Lange wouldn’t be as fortunate, getting tied up early and surfacing at the end of the first lap way back in 17th. The Canadian would mount a brilliant charge towards the front, staying on the lead lap and cracking the top ten by lap ten.
Next up for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team is the May 20th opening round of the 2007 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship, aka the “Outdoor Nationals, at Prairie City’s (Calif.) Hangtown MX track.
