CORONA, Calif., (June 5, 2007) — Monster Energy-backed off road racers will be out in full force this weekend (June 9-10) at Chula Vista’s (Calif.) brand new International Raceway for Round Three of the Championship Off Road Racing Series, aka the “CORR Series.
Headlining the Monster Army assault on the popular stadium off road series will be none other than the greatest supercross racer of all time, SoCal’s own Jeremy “Showtime McGrath. In his first race this season on the CORR Series, McGrath will run a Baldwin-prepared Monster Energy Pro 2 truck, contesting the Pro 2 CORR Lucas Oil Series as well as the NBC broadcast of the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Series qualifier.
“Monster’s pumped to have Jeremy back out in one of our off road trucks we sponsor, said John Lee, Sports Marketing Director for Monster. “Jeremy’s presence will no doubt bring out a lot of new fans to the CORR series and, once there, we’re confident they’ll be hooked on this fan-friendly style of off road racing.
McGrath will join in running the iconic Monster “M-claw logo with two series legends, Johnny Greaves (Pro 4) and Jerry Welchel (Pro 2) — both of whom are leading their respective class’ overall points chases.
Also rockin’ the Monster logo at Chula Vista International Raceway will be Travis Coyne, who’s currently running 4th overall in the Pro 4 class and Rodrigo Ampudia who’s 4th overall in the Pro Lites class.

Developed in 1983, Championship Off Road Racing"¢ (CORR) brings high action four wheel motorsports including 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive trucks onto closed course off road tracks. The 2007 CORR season includes seven events in Los Angeles and San Diego, Dallas and Las Vegas.
CORR is divided into two series, Pro and Sportsman. The Pro Series is composed of three divisions: Pro 4 — Full-size 4wd race trucks, V8 engines, 800 HP; Pro 2 — Full-size 2wd race trucks, V8 engines, 800 HP; and Pro Lite — Compact/Mid-size 2wd race trucks, 4 cylinder engines, 300+ HP. The Sportsman Series is made up of two buggy divisions: Single Buggy — Limited to a 1600cc VW Type 1 engine; and Super Buggy — Featuring a 1650cc water cooled power plant.
