Round four of the Muscle Milk TransWorld Motocross Race Series, held at Milestone MX Park in Riverside, California, is in the history books. Once again, it was another action-filled day, with a ton of good racing in all classes. Once again, vender’s row was the happening spot throughout the whole day. Etnies, Leatt-Brace, MTA, FMF Racing, and One Industries were all on hand, supplying everything from skate shoes to motor oil and goggles.
The racing action on the track was often exciting and intense, as several class rivalries have formed thus far into the six-round series. The Milestone MX staff did a great job of preparing the jump-filled course to perfection, and conditions held up exceptionally well throughout the day.
Sunday’s race drew a wide range of entrants, including amateur sensation Adam Cianciarulo from Florida, and reigning All Japan National MX Champion Akira Narita. Cianciarulo decimated his competition in the mini class and set some of the fastest lap times of the day (AC’s lap times aboard his Brett Mountain-tuned mini would have placed him third in the Open Pro class) on his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki KX85, and he also chose the TWMXRS to make his competition debut aboard his Kawasaki KX125.
Narita, meanwhile, is “vacationing” in California and training for the upcoming All Japan Nationals. The factory Honda rider was accompanied by several other racers from Japan, including Yoshiki Inagaki, who is ranked third in the 250 class in Japan. Another standout in the Pro classes was KTM’s Mike Sleeter, who was also on hand to support his Orange Brigade KTM amateur program riders. Needless to say, racers and spectators alike had their eyes on the track when these guys were competing.
In the Intermediate class, MSR/Shoei/EKS Brand rider Jessie Huntley and Yamaha two-stroke pilot Mitch Van De Mortel once again found each other on the track and put on a exciting race. Huntley came out with the overall with 2-1 finishes.
