The Annual TWMXRS So-Cal Fall Cup is now upon us and we felt it was only appropriate to start the Fall Cup where the Summer Cup left off-at Competitive Edge MX Park. One of the high desert’s few motocross tracks, CEMX delivers pure outdoor MX conditions. Tons of deep ruts, braking bumps, and overall rough and tough conditions awaited racers in the early morning, but some of Southern California’s best riders were ready for the treacherous terrain.
The pancake breakfast was in full affect this weekend as some of the TWMX staff was dishing out some appetizing pancakes, sausage links, and coffee for everyone in attendance Sunday. Not to mention vendor row had some serious support at the opening round as Thousand Oaks Yamaha brought out their support rig to aid any and all YZ riders in every way possible. For everyone, though, including non-Yamaha riders, fresh tires, bike stands, a Yamaha generator and pressure washer and killer deals on a few new YZ race bikes were all for sale. EKS Brand Goggles was on hand again keeping racers supplied with lens’, tear-offs, goggles, hats and stickers. Plus, Etnies and One Industries were on hand giving out stickers and showing off a bunch of their new products.
As aforementioned, some of Southern California’s elite amateur riders invaded the facility to try the technical layout. Bryce Stewart, Mitch Van de Mortel, Austin Meyers and Sergey Astaykin were amongst the fastest in the Pro Classes. Jeremy Byrne, Joseph Marroquin, Sebastian Cantegerani and Nick Beall were just a few rippers in the Intermediate, Open (non-pro) and Schoolboy classes.
The opening round of the So-Cal Fall Cup was kicked off right and we hope you’ll join us for round two, which will be held at Milestone MX Ranch on September 29th.
