The Muscle Milk TWMX crowd invaded the gates of Competitive Edge MX Park for the third round of the 2014 So-Cal Winter Cup and things couldn’t have been any more perfect for an awesome day of racing. The Comp. Edge crew did an epic job on track prep for everyone on both race tracks. And to top it off, the weather couldn’t have been better with partly overcast skies, no heat and absolutely none of the typical high desert winds.
Tons of products were to be had at round three and most of which came from vendor row. Kyle Lewis and the Kal-Gard lubricants rig made the trek up to Hesperia, CA providing riders with every and all types of oils and cleaners for their bikes. ODI was also on deck with their signature Control Flex Technology bars and Emig grips and the EKS Brand Goggle gang was supplying racers with plenty of goggle accessories. Also, just days before the third round, New Era shipped out the newest batch of Muscle Milk TWMXRS hats, so you know that everyone in attendance had their heads covered with those cool new lids.
Upon arriving to Comp. Edge the morning of race day, it was apparent that tons of fast racers-both young and old- decided that the Hesperia, CA facility was the place to be for the best competition-and they were right. Chris Alldredge put on an absolute clinic in 250 Pro and Pro Open by sweeping both classes. Alldredge had lightning fast speed and really shined on the outdoor style track. Another fast guy was Justin Jones, who won both motos in 450 pro aboard his KTM. The Intermediate classes are always exciting due to the stiff competition and it was Tristian Miller that came out on top in 250B, but not without battles from Blake Green and Dean Spangler. Miller was also the top finisher in Schoolboy as he won both motos just ahead of Buddy Wentworth. However, Spangler was able to pull it together in 450B as he swept both motos. Once it was time for the 85s and 150s to line up and hit the track it was Mitchell Falk and Gage Schehr to check out from the rest of the pack in Open 85-150F. The two swapped positions numerous times, but it was Falk to come out on top with a 2-1 finish over Schehr’s 1-2 finish.
Tons of action was had at the third round and we hope that you’ll all come out for round four of the 2014 Winter Cup, which will be held at Perris Raceway on February ninth. See you there!
