Nate Adams Update

As most of you now know, FMX star Nate Adams attempted to qualify for Anaheim 1 Supercross last weekend. But, his day was cut short when he cased the first baseline triple and broke his left arm.

We caught up with Nate this morning and he told that he “had so much fun at Supercross, up until casing the triple, of course.” He went on to say, “I never even crashed… I just cased it super dirty!” Nate had surgery on Tuesday where they plated, screwed, and pinned his left arm. He told us he will be out for two months, but that he is not ready to give up on his dream of racing Supercross.

Cant’ wait to see you back on the track!

  • Anonymous Says:

Yeah Come back nate and race thatd be awsome

  • Grinson Says:

Sounds good, I hope he comes back, it should be great watching how he does.

I do find it kinda ironic that he does lazyboy backflips n’ all and all he does all day is jump, and he cases a triple (i was really dissapointed, i really wanted to watch hime race!!)

Good luck, by far the best FMX’er.

  • WXMX Says:

Yeah man how you gonna case a Jump isn’t that what you do! Ha ha man Just messin Nate is one of my favorite rider Fo sho’ Good luck when you get the cast off!!!

  • mxracer926 Says:

fmxers shouldnt race. theres probably a reason they got into fmx…they cant go fast enough for twenty laps. by the way..TP is the best fmxer. he taught adams everything he knows.

  • Luca Says:

is that why i didn’t see him in the main?? ;) you’ll get it n8 dawg

  • Luca Says:

waitttttt isn’t he factory sponsored? so doesn’t he have a better bike than j-law then?

  • Rooster Says:

He’s not factory. He’s a Yamaha support rider. Totally different.

  • muddza Says:

I thought it was here Tea Cosy!

  • rodney Says:

You gotta be kidding me. Some people actually have to make a living at some point in there life since being outside the top 10 in SX hardly cuts the mustard. I’m pretty sure his FMX salary is the reason he is even able to race. Like the old saying; “You gotta walk a mile in another man’s shoes before you judge him.”

  • Luca Says:

ooo okay i thought i heard an announcer maybe at dew tour say that he’s one of the only factory fmx riders?? maybe it was supported, not sure

  • terrorndaskies Says:

i didnt crash either when i cased a 60′double. unlike Nate i suck…I wound up in the hospital for 7days and off my bike for 10months with a wound vac attached to my ankle…this sport is beyond gnarly and i love it to the bone!!!!!!!just like natedawg…

  • MotoBro399 Says:

You seem to be forgetting one thing when you say that fmxers shouldnt race. Most of them have roots in racing as a matter of fact probably 90% of them.

  • Anonymous Says:

ill take nates ride,im sure given the same opp,i would make the main! jeeze what more can you ask for and still not make it??? what a joke!

  • Grinson Says:

Yeah, TP is by far the best, and hes prolly the best rounded motorcycle rider out there, but he doesnt compete anymore, therefore, cannot be considered as a contender, therefore i say Adams is the best.

  • anonymous Says:

Hope to see Nate back out there! I would like to see Nate make a main event!
Oh yeah, nice gear!!! The ONE stuff looks sweet! Very clean.

  • astars Says:

    your a muppet dude !!!

  • matt105 Says:

how did he even get a pro lic??!!! didnt even have 2 get 100pts, ama so jacked up!

  • james mc Says:

all the fmxers that started it came from supercross/mx
    deegan
    hart
    metz
    cink
    pastie
    mike diamond
the list goes on they all raced

  • james mc Says:

nate races outside of fmx, thats how he got an injury b4 a fmx event about a year ago !!! what were his lap time like compaired to jlaw n dungey ?

  • Droptiny Says:

hahaha most rediculous thing i’ve ever seen posted…TWMX is a NO PUNKS, NO CHUMPS enviorment….please go tell your jimmy lewis war stories somewhere else toughguy…you suck at life, an still a bitch!

On a personal note Name is the man!!!! someone has got to have the balls to rock the Moustache!!! god knows Reed and Stewart couldn’t if they had too…haha

I am trying to figure out the same thing matt105, here’s an earlier post:

So Nate certainly has stepped up his moto game thru the years. Shoot, I can remember his early days of FMX where he would pull insane tricks only to nearly crash navigating thru the corner afterwards! Props to him for that.

BUT… How the heck did he qualify for his Pro license though? The AMA has been very strict over the past 5+ years about meeting a certain quota of eligibility:

    1. Earned at least 75 advancement points (at the time of application) in the AMA PRO-AM
    Motocross Series.
    2. Finished in the top 15 overall positions, in the AMA Amateur National Motocross
Championship in 2008 or 2009 in an A or Pro Sport class.
    3. Earned 50 Arenacross class points in 2007-2008 AMA Arenacross Series.or 35 points in the
    2009 AMA Arenacross Series.
    4. Earned 75 Arenacross Lites class points in 2007-2008 AMA Arencross Series or 60 points in
the 2009 AMA Arencross Lites Series.
    5. AMA Pro Racing may issue a license to any rider who does not meet the above criteria if it
determines, in it’s sole discretion, that the rider has adequate competition experience.

I guess criteria number 5 was made for instances like this.

  • Solt407 Says:

yeah i’ve been trying to qualify for 2 years and i cant catch a break then guys like nate just jump right in… it kinda gets under my skin a little if you can imagine. Nothing against nate just sucks for us no namers trying to make it.

  • Anonymous Says:

yes they did get their start in racing…..but had to stop because they couldnt hack it. as far as im concerned fmxers are inferior riders to the guys that put in the hard work that it takes to race and be successful. anyone with a set of balls and a foam pit can learn to do what they do. if you dont have the speed and stamina in racing then you just dont have it. period

  • Anonymous Says:

yeah they all started racing. and exactly how many of them had succesful racing careers? none of them. deegan won a single race because all of the faster riders went down in the first turn. he had no competition. also, he is not the hard ass he claims to be. watch his 1993 daytona supercross interview and he is just a scared little pup. and now that fmx has gone so mainstream… many of the new so called talents are just buying bikes and foam pits to learn to do stunts. so many of the newer guys have never entered a race in their life.

  • Anonymous Says:

That’s just it… I was a little luckier, in the late ’90s I had my Pro License. I raced (got my ass kicked) in a few nationals, SXs, and AXs from 98 - 2001. But I remember having to earn certain amount of ‘A’ class points and even then, had to be an ‘Expert’ in my district for a full season. It’s way harder nowadays, and I feel for you struggling local guys in a situation like this.

  • Anonymous Says:

Give him a break idiots. talkin about stamina and all that… he cased a jump, big wooop that doesnt m,ean he aint got stamina

  • YOUR MOM Says:

    YOU ALL ARE SILLY

  • Slick Willy Says:

Should have been riding his two stroke, and back flipping anything over 20 feet!

  • Dirtydane Says:

Can you give me a link to that 1993 daytoda interview.

  • Travis Barber Says:

Nate adams is a great freestyler but his race skills aren’t very impressive. Didn’t he get a 30th at lake whitney a few years ago in the B class or something? I’ve seen a video of him putting in a moto before and he wasn’t too swift…looked like a fast C rider. I give him props for everything he has done on a motorcycle but I am very interested in his lap times before his crash if anyone knows them.
