Ukiah, CA — May 20, 2007 — TMX’s Alisa Nix went 3-2 at the VP Fuels Round of the AMA/WMA National Championship this weekend at Hangtown MX.
Alisa has been back on her bike for about 20 days after being out due to shoulder surgery for the majority of the year. Last weekend at Glen Helen marked her return and she finished with a 4th overall tying Sarah Whitmore in points. Following it up this weekend with a solid 2nd, moving her into 3rd place for points thus far for the season.
“We were the first moto and the last moto of the day. By the time we lined up at the end of the day, the track was really slick and rutted up. I was happy just to be able to go out and race a solid race at one of my hometown tracks with my family and friends in attendance. Said Nix.
Alisa started racing motocross when she was four years old, tearing up the tracks in Northern California. She turned pro in November of 2004 at the WMA Championship Cup at Cycle Ranch in Texas. Since then she has been doing her best to make her mark in the sport.
