KTM North America, Inc., has confirmed an eight rider “international powerhouse team” to compete in the 10th edition of the X-Games. With sponsorship backing from Red Bull, members of KTM’s Temecula, California based team will showcase their talents and KTM’s distinctive orange motorcycles in Moto X Supermoto and Freestyle Motocross event competition.
“KTM’s X-Games Supermoto team consists of the top names in a variety of motorcycle racing disciplines including supermoto, motocross, road racing, dirt track and freestyle.” said KTM Motorsports Marketing Manager, Ron Heben. “With so many talented athletes we look to bring home a gold medal or two.”
Competing in MotoX Supermoto events on KTM’s Austrian made motorcycles are European supermoto superstars Juergen Kuenzel and Thierry Van Den Bosch, former 125cc motocross world and national champion as well as reigning Unlimited Supermoto Champion Grant Langston, FIM GP road racer Kurtis Roberts, AMA Supermoto Columbus National Winner Ben Carlson and former 2-time AMA 125cc motocross champion Micky Dymond.
Perhaps the most popular personality of the weekend is KTM freestyle icon “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram. Known for his inspiring aerial stunts the likable former X-Games gold medalist will work a double shift competing in MotoX Supermoto and Freestyle competition at the event. If everything works as planned, Bartram will have just enough time to swap his KTM 450cc SMR Supermoto bike for his KTM 250cc SX freestyle bike.
Fellow KTM freestyler Ronnie Renner will co-anchor KTM’s X-Games freestyle effort.
