AURORA, Ill. (Sept. 28, 2005) – Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today the broadcast team for the 2005 U.S. Open from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena that will air on NBC will feature host Pat Parnell, color analyst Robbie Floyd and pit reporter Kenan Harkin. The 2005 U.S. Open will air on NBC October 23 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. EST.

The 2004 U.S. Open aired on NBC for the first time ever and earned an impressive 2.1 overnight Nielsen rating, making it the second largest watched television audience for off-road motorcycle racing ever. Complimenting the record television audience was the largest recorded live event audience in history with over 20,000 fans inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The eighth-annual U.S. Open, which will be broadcast nationally on NBC October 23 at 4:30 p.m. EST for the second consecutive season, features the world’s top motocross racers competing for the world’s largest single race purse. Four-time supercross champion and two-time U.S. Open champion Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki), two-time 125cc regional supercross champion James Stewart (Kawasaki) and former 125cc Western Regional AMA Supercross Series champion Kevin Windham (Honda) are confirmed to race.
