Practice Concludes At Anaheim II

Practice and qualifying has wrapped up at the third round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series from Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California. As has been the case in the first two rounds, the 450 class has proved very deep, and who has emerged with the top time at the end of qualifying has been anyone’s guess. Today, defending Champion Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto took top honors in the 450 class, posting a time of 52.976. Second quickest was Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey who turned in a time of 53.653. Completing the top three was Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart; who in spite of his torn ACL, carded a time of 53.991.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto was the fastest qualifier in the 450 class.

The 250 class saw Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen circulate the track the fastest, turning in a time of 54.515 ahead of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Martin Davalos who posted a time of 54.769. Third quickest went to current points leader and defending Champion Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac. Tomac looked fast all day, however, his time of 54.959 wasn’t enough to best the top two.

Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen turned in the quickest qualifying time in the 250 class.
