Nothing is holding Stephane back from having an incredible year in 2006. He has been training harder than ever and is very focused on the upcoming year. In order to be completely focused on racing, he has teamed up with Steve Aldaco to take care of the business part of racing.
Stephane is a very talented rider and has bounced back from some tough situations before. He has always proved himself and has what it takes to win the 125 class (AMA Supercross Lites) championship. He demonstrated this at the end of the 2004 Supercross series by doing what no other rider was able to do, hang with James Stewart at the finale in Las Vegas. At the first Outdoor National of the same year, he proved it was no fluke, by doing the same thing at Hangtown.
He is also perfectly capable of challenging the leaders in the 250 class, as he proved during the 2002 Supercross season, when he finished second to the greatest rider of all time, Ricky Carmichael, at Anaheim III and the Louisiana Superdome.
During his time away from racing, he has been training hard and is back in racing shape; something that was noticed by the fans who saw him in the Glen Helen pits. Steve revealed, ¿We have been speaking to a few teams who are very interested in Stephane for the upcoming season, both for the 250 class (AMA Supercross) and the 125 class (AMA Supercross Lites).¿ We should have something to announce shortly, as soon as the details get hammered out, stay tuned.
Stephane commented, ¿I am very excited about the upcoming year. I know I can be very competitive in either class I race in, so long as I have a good team behind me and a solid bike under me. In anticipation of the upcoming season, I have been training and riding a lot. The guys at MDK have really been helping me out a lot, by providing me with a bike to ride. I want to send a special Thank You to Mark Kvamme and Danny Paladino of that team. I really appreciate the help.¿
Besides his talent, Stephane is a fan favorite at the races. He is always smiling and enjoys the interaction with his fans. He has found his smile again, and cannot wait to get back to the races to see his fans and be competitive. An additional attribute of Stephane is that he has his own website, www.ronronmx.com, which provides information on Stephane and gets thousands of hits during the season. The site also has a message board for his fans to communicate with him.
