Anaheim, CA., (Dec. 6, 2004) Holigan Racing announced today that Steve Boniface will join the Dallas, Texas based Team Samsung Wireless for the 2005 AMA Supercross Series.
Boniface, a native of Arras, France now residing in Temecula, California, comes to Holigan Racing with a wealth of experience in both Supercross and Motocross disciplines. Boniface amassed 6 French and European championships before coming to the United States in 1999 to pursue his dream of winning an AMA Supercross Series Championship. Battling lingering injuries and mechanical gremlins in previous years, Steve has still managed to post podium finishes in each of the last three Supercross seasons. He will be joining teammates Josh Summey, Troy Adams and Josh Woods in the quest for an AMA Supercross Series Championship.
“We are pleased to bring Steve into our Team Samsung Wireless rider lineup for 2005, said Michael Holigan, team owner of the Honda supported team. “Michael Blose’s recent accident breaking both wrists and eliminating him from the 2005 Supercross series left us in a difficult situation for the East Coast Supercross Series Championship. Fortunately a rider of Steve’s caliber was available. Steve has consistently shown he has the talent and the speed to post impressive results. I believe he will work well with our entire team and sponsor base putting us in a favorable position to post our first Supercross victory.
“I am very excited to have this opportunity to work with Holigan Racing and their sponsors for the 2005 season, said Boniface. “The Holigan team is committed to winning and providing top level equipment to the team. I am looking forward to joining the team, working with all the sponsors and riding with Honda support in 2005. I am sorry for Michael and his accident as he has been working very hard for the Supercross season. I hope he has a quick recovery and is able to return to the track soon.
