The 2014 Monster Energy Supercross Series run through the East Coast continues with round nine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Although the stadium is home to the Indianapolis Colts and is big enough for an NFL game, the actual stadium floor is smaller than some venues and requires a tighter than normal track. Still, Feld and Dirt Wurx do their best to fill every inch of possible space with tacky Midwestern clay and this year’s layout will make provide plenty of action.
Two 250 West Coast Supercross riders are making guest appearances in the 450 division this weekend; Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson is filling in for the injured Chad Reed at TwoTwo Motorsports, while Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Cole Seely got the call to be the lone rider at Team Honda Muscle Milk (both Trey Canard and Justin Barcia are out with injury, but Barcia is slated to return next week at Daytona). How will the young racers fare in the competitive class?
Riders are now taking to the track for the first timed qualifying sessions of the day, which are being streamed via Supercross! Live. Watch as riders dial in the course for tonight’s action, then check back here for a full practice report and gallery. Tonight’s action will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS 1 beginning at 7:30PM EASTERN TIME. Check your local listings for more information.
