Team GPS Racing/Storm Lake Honda Heads Into Minneapolis with Momentum

Minnesota-Based Team Poised for a Win in Front of Local Crowd!

Ft. Worth, TX January 31, 2006 — Mike Kidd Entertainment Group — will bring Round Ten of the K&N presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series Brought to you by Toyota to the Target Center in Minneapolis February 3-5, 2006, home to GPS/ racing.

GPS Racing came about in 1999 by George Hodkinson, an active and avid motocross racer in the state of Minnesota for many years.  His successful venture into suspension and motor modifications for the industry has allowed Hodkinson to launch GPS Racing, and with help from Storm Lake Honda – based out of Storm Lake, Iowa — the team competes nationally in the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series.

The GPS/ team is carrying momentum into their home state as Michael Blose has managed to win three of the eight main events he’s run since joining the GPS Storm Lake Honda team in Long Beach during Round Five.  The team has placed four different riders on the podium this season with Brad Modjewski and Kurt McCabe currently sitting just outside the top ten in the championship point standings.

“To date we’ve had four different riders on the podium and helped get our title sponsor, Storm Lake Honda, their first win in arenacross,” said Hodkinson.  “Our team is very strong, and Blose is now a threat to win any race he lines up to and has been a great addition to our team.  Our goal is to go out there and win some races.”

This weekend is the largest motorcycle event to come to Minneapolis since Supercross visited the city in February of 2004.  The BooKoo Arenacross Championships is held in conjunction with the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show taking place at the Minneapolis Convention Center all three days, featuring the 2006 line-up of street, touring and dirt bikes.
