San Jose, Calif. (January 15, 2008) — The Monster Energy AMA Supercross, a FIM Championship, equaled continued success for Team SVM with both Jeff Northrop and Eric McCrummen looking solid and making it into the main event. Both riders looked extremely good in practice. McCrummen posted the 6 th fastest time for the majority of the seated practice while Northrop earned the 11th fastest spot. McCrummen and Northrop both transferred directly into the main event from their heat race finishing 6 th and 7th respectively. The Lites main event saw both riders get out of the gate and through the first turn in mid pack. Northrop and McCrummen both made a hard charge for that coveted top 10 position, finishing just outside with Northrop ending 12 th and McCrummen right behind him in the 13th spot.
SVM was also proud to welcome the most dominate Defensive End in the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs very own, Jared Allen. Jared had a great time taking in The Monster Energy AMA Supercross series while hanging out with Team SVM. Jared signed autographs and even went as far as to give Team SVM riders some advice before the main event. Jared had such a great time he will likely make another appearance in the SVM pits in San Diego.
While Billy Payne is unfortunately still off the bike due to injury he continues to keep up his rigorous training and looks forward to coming back as soon as possible.
