Lee Bowers has commissioned The Agents to help out in obtaining sponsors and providing publicity to the team and its sponsors. The team of AGP Racing will consist of Sarah Whitmore and Tarah Gieger and will be contesting the Women’s Motocross Association Nationals aboard Yamahas.
Sarah is the veteran of the team and has demonstrated her ability to win. She also has her own monthly column in RacerX. Tarah is relatively new to the pro ranks, but has demonstrated she certainly has what it takes to be up front. In fact, as this was being written, Tarah had just won the Mini O’s, held in Florida, and then went to Texas to win the WMA / AMA Cup, beating both Jessica Patterson and the previously undefeated Steffi Laier. Sarah went 6-3 for Fourth overall at the AMA Cup event, which is outstanding for her first race back from her bout with Epstien-Barr.
The Women’s Motocross Association promotes a six-round championship series that includes classes for both amateur and pro women. Last season, the series opener was held in conjunction with “The Prequel,” a race held at Glen Helen Raceway Park on the weekend before the Hangtown AMA 125/250cc Championship Series kickoff, the same event that also played host to round two of the WMA series. During that event, the women shared the spotlight with the premier National Championship classes on Sunday.
The team is currently speaking to all of the potential sponsors, including gear, goggles, helmets, tires, and the rest of the companies that are required to make a team competitive. This is certain to be one of the more watched and covered teams; This year the team has many unique plans with respect obtaining publicity for their sponsors.
If you would like to be a part of the AGP Racing team as a sponsor, please feel free to call Steve Aldaco of The Agents at (951) 205-3348 or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
