Thor and AGP Racing Team Up

AGP Racing premieres Thor’s new line of women’s riding gear at Round One of the AMA/WMA Nationals at Glen Helen on May 8th

Murrieta, Calif., (May 14, 2004) – AGP Racing’s Sarah Whitmore and Tania Satchwell were the first female riders to race in Thor’s new line of women’s gear this past weekend in Southern California. With a 1-2 finish, no one could argue that the debut was a big success. On the podium Whitmore & Satchwell praised the gear and Thor’s commitment to women’s racing.

“I really like the way it fits. It¿s much nicer to ride in than the gear designed for guys,” said Satchwell. “I’ve been racing since I was seven years old and this is the most comfortable gear I’ve ever worn.¿

¿And, the new colors are great!” added Whitmore.

Regarding the new gear, AGP Team Manager, Lee Bowers, said, “In 2003 close to 40% of new riders entering the off-road market were women. I think it’s exciting that Thor has decided to take the next step and is committed to meeting the needs of this growing market by developing a new line of riding gear made exclusively for women riders.¿

¿Not only are the colors and styles different, they’ve gone all out and recreated the pant to fit a women’s body. They’ve been working with the team for the last year trying different cuts and materials to come up with the final product. We’re really impressed with what they’ve done. Whether you’re racing every weekend or just play riding with friends and family, the gear’s unique fit and stylish looks will provide the comfort and durability male riders have enjoyed for years.¿

¿The gear is available in two distinctively different styles. Sarah Whitmore will be wearing the `Pink, Blue & White¿ style gear and Tania Satchwell will be in `Purple, Orange & White¿.

Last week, Thor’s Ian Runyon, Chris ¿Beeker¿ Onstott, Jim Gallagher and photographer, Simon Cudby, were on-hand at a remote motocross track east of Temecula, CA for a catalog photo shoot for Thor¿s `05 gear. Throughout the day riders Tim Ferry, Stephane Roncada, Michael Byrne, Sarah Whitmore and Tania Satchwell took turns whipping it over jumps and railing corners for the camera.

When the day was over, Ian Runyon commented, ¿We’re thrilled to be working with AGP Racing’s Sarah Whitmore and Tania Satchwell. They are both great athletes and ambassadors of our sport. Our new line of

women’s riding gear was developed with input from these great riders and we look forward to seeing it on the podium throughout the season.¿

Look for the `05 women¿s gear to be in stores sometime in August. Or, if you want a sneak preview, come out to one of the AMA/WMA Nationals to watch Sarah and Tania tear it up on the track.

Round Two of the AMA/WML Nationals will be held on May 16th at Hangtown raceway in Sacramento in conjunction with the men’s AMA/Chevy Trucks US Motocross Championships. Both WMA motos will be on Sunday in front of crowds that were in excess of 20,000 last year.

Now in its fourth year, AGP Racing is the premier women’s motocross team in the AMA/WMA series, featuring top pro riders Sarah Whitmore and Tania Satchwell. 19-year-old Sarah Whitmore is a three-time winner at Loretta Lynn¿s and finished second in the nationals in 2003. Her teammate, 24-year-old Tania Satchwell is seven-time New Zealand champion and 2001 WMA national champion.
