Three-Peat: A Moto XXX Rider Leads Privateers for 3rd Consecutive Year

Moto XXX is proud to announce that team rider, Damon Huffman finished the AMA Supercross series ranked highest among privateer riders. In fact, Damon was the only privateer in the top ten. He also finished second in the THQ World Supercross GP, which was best among the working class there as well.

Huffman¿s consistent performances kept the top privateer honors where they have been for three years now; with Moto XXX. Nick Wey and Larry Ward topped all other privateers in the 2002 and 2003 AMA Supercross series respectively.

¿Huff Daddy¿ was rewarded handsomely for his efforts. He left the final round in Las Vegas the proud owner of a new Nissan Titan pickup and Weekend Warrior trailer. The weekend came to a close with the series awards banquet, where Damon picked up a bonus check for $25,000.00 from Clear Channel.

On the track in Vegas, Damon kept a high profile. He transferred directly out of his heat race and later, during a break in the racing, drove his new truck and trailer out onto the infield where he was interviewed by the announcing team. He proceeded to win the $1500.00 Butterfinger Holeshot award at the start of the main event. During his interview on the podium after the race, Damon was enthusiastic about the season and his bike. ¿If you want to get some holeshots, you need to be on a Honda CRF450¿, he said. ¿This bike is awesome. Moto XXX is awesome and we¿ve had great sponsors behind us all year¿.

Truer words have never been spoken. To echo Damon, all of the staff and riders at Moto XXX want to express their sincere gratitude to the program¿s sponsors and fans. The season is only halfway over and there have already been many memorable moments. Finally, all of the dealers who participated in the Moto XXX associate sponsorship program during the supercross series deserve special mention. From Anaheim to Las Vegas, they were a great help to the team and we hope to see all of them back again next year.

The team would also like to wish Damon Huffman the best as he sets his sights on the Canadian National championship this summer with Blackfoot Honda.
