Tickets for Maxxis U.S. Open Go On Sale

LAS VEGAS (January 17 2002) – Tickets for the sixth-annual Maxxis U.S. Open, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on October 10-12, go on sale this Saturday, January 18 at all Ticketmaster locations and www.ussx.com.

“The Maxxis U.S. Open is a huge production,” said Mark Prows, vice president, MGM Grand Garden Arena. “The magnitude of the race makes it a major event, considering the deep talent pool of riders that compete at this event. Ricky Carmichael, Tim Ferry, Jeremy McGrath … those are some of the best riders in the world and they have competed here. The profile of this event is very prestigious.”

The two-days of racing, including the four strokes, minis, and 125s, mixed in with the excitement of Las Vegas makes this event a must-do for race fans.

The fabled U.S. Open, which offers $100,000 to the winner, has seen four different winners in five years.
