Lake Forest, Calif. — What did you do last Saturday night, drink beer? So what? Trigger Gumm set a new world record for the longest outright distance jumped on a motorcycle when he launched 277.5 feet at Ipswich’s Queensland Raceway in Australia. Trigger took a Honda CR500 off the kicker at more than 85 mph and flew 85 feet high, clearing 277.5 feet of Earth in front of officials from the Guiness Book of Records and 25,000 fans.
“That was mega gnarly, incredible. That was insanity at its finest. Everything about it was just danger, said an elated Trigger after landing the world record jump.
